At first I was sad that they removed Mewtwo, but Lucario more than makes up for it.
Meta knight took me a while, but I think I've really got him down.
I need a bit more time to make judgments on other characters, such as Link/Toon Link, the princesses, and Ganondorf.
As for Dedede and Bowser? Well, I never liked the heavies much, so they don't really matter to me.
And about Luigi, he's a bit more slippery than Mario, but to me, Luigi's better. He's got a better side special, he can jump higher, and he still has the tornado.
After a long time, some things change. Some things don't. And I still love Regina!

Rakala

It actually has a different feel than Melee, I don't know why but something is different. Nintendo is like that. They make the same game repeatedly but somehow always give it a new, crips feel. They are geniuses.

Kenji

Crips feel? Nintendo's goin gangsta! XP
I only hope that someday Sakurai does decide to go with downloadable characters. I could totally get behind having Mewtwo and Pichu back, added with Tails and Espio. >.>

Fresnor

Downloadable characters would be awesome... Krystal should have definitely been in there.  Though after trying Wolf, I'm not as disappointed with him being in it, he actually plays a lot differently than Fox and Falco... except for the final smash at least.  I'm still getting used to how they changed many of the old characters though too.  Some of them were downgraded huge amount, while others got a boost.

Kenji

Yoshi's still got his multikick and all his moves, he's good. Falco's good to go, cept his new reflector will take some getting used to. Heh. But no complaints here in any department.

PS
Wolf is indeed awesome. But I really wish he had a Wolfen attack and Falco had an Arwing attack for their final smashes. Or at least have one of em just go lazer barrage.

Rakala

Well, I finally unlocked all the characters. I must say that my best characters (starting with the best) are Sonic, Pit, Ike, and Snake. I like Snake's smash and special attacks. He has the best launching power in the game. Some of his smash attacks are as powerful as the Falcon Punch.

Pagan

You know, when the game first came out, I didn't realy care about Sonic that much. Didn't play his old games, haven't played the newer ones, so there was no reason to be excited about him. Now having played as Sonic... I have to say that I like him. Not favorite, but he's definitaly in my roster now.

Rakala

Well, I beat the Subspace Emissary one player, now having played it 2 player it is much more fun playing with a companion than on your own.

Kenji

Yes. And much more hilarious as well. XD

Luigi and Marth are still my homeboys. I haven't unlocked Mr. Game & Watch yet so I have yet to experience his improvements in Brawl.

But seriously, Luigi and Marth are terrific. I love Marth's side-B attack and Luigi's Final Smash. Actually, the Final Smashes in general are all fantastic; excellent additions to the game. King Dedede is rather fun to play with (but very sloooow), if only because I wanted to be an exception to the throngs of people who keep ranting about how much he sucks. I have a weakness for unappreciated characters, as my adoration for Mr. Game & Watch attests. I'm fairly sure Nintendo was high when they made the Subspace Emissary, but in a wonderful wonderful way.

I love this game. <3

I've heard everybody talking about how they should add more characters from certain games. The two biggest being Grey Fox from Metal Gear Solid and Knuckles the Echidna. People don't seem to get it's not who people like, it's by importance in the game. If they were to add another character from Sonic the Hedgehog then Tails would have to come first. From Metal Gear Solid they would either have to do Raiden or for a villain Ocelot. Who all thinks I'm right about this?

I feel out of place posting in a thread about a game I've never played, but the urge to respond to this kind of kept biting me until I typed something. Anyway, your post, yes. In regards to the theoretical next Sonic character being Tails, I would have to agree. With Metal Gear Solid however, there's no way Raiden or Ocelot would trump Gray Fox, because he has veterancy (creation wise - I just know someone will say Ocelot comes first in the timeline) over them. That's why his appearance in MGS is shocking - the man who was Snake's technical superior (codename Fox trumps codename Snake) is supposed to be dead.

Probably too off-topic to ramble about, so I'm just going to fade out like I was never here. Yo~
This post has been brought to you by Bond. Janus Bond. And the Agency™. And possibly spy cameras.

Gareeku

I agree with Janus. Gray Fox would have to come before Ocelot or Raiden. Not only is he a more important character in that the man who was Solid Snake' technical superior is supposed to be said as Janus pointed out, he is also a series veteran, in that he appeared before the Metal Gear Solid series. He was also in Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake on the SNES (i think it was on the SNES anyway). In that game, he had supposedly gone missing. In the end, however, it turned out that he had in fact sided with Big Boss and his organisation. Snake and Gray Fox then had a fight in a minefield if I'm correct in saying, and Gray Fox died in that game, which lead to his shocking appearance in Metal Gear Solid.

Yeah, so I went quite a way off topic, but I thought I'd put in my 2 cents anyway. And yes, Brawl looks good, can't wait until it finally comes out in Europe.

Rakala

Alright. Just making sure I know where everybody stands. The reason I said Raiden is if you look at the characters, most of the time they try to get the main character (IE Fox), at least 1 supporting character (Falco), and one villain (Wolf). And most of the people I've talked to have never even played any of the older MGS games.

On another note I've heard ideas for alternate costumes for Snake besides different cameos. The ideas I've heard are his MGS 4 old costume, Naked Snake, so on.

Personally, if Midna was in Brawl (as a playable character) I would have been overjoyed, but Nintendo went to the trouble of putting Sonic in Brawl so I'm rather satisfied.

You can't get more awesome than Sonic. Sonic is his name and speed is his game. >(

They nerfed mah Peach. :<

You can chain her mid-air butt attack.
It beats the dual sided boss with no trouble. :P

I find it amusing, having just come back from a Brawl party(wherein Sonic was unlocked during the party, while I was off playing Halo 3), that my favorite way to play is the sideways Wiimote.  Only downside is I tend to bubble more than I'd like(but then, I almost never bubble on purpose, except as a taunt...)

Samus was fun, Sonic's fun, Pikachu's fun, I managed not to offend anyone as Link(and I caught someone else's Samus in a mid-air final smash with him).  High-points of the night were the Zombies game(oops, that was Halo 3), and the co-op battles on Brawl.  With friendly fire on, naturally.

Pikachu doing a hold so Ike can smash the guy offscreen for a win was beat only when my teammate accidentally caught my Pikachu in Ike's Final Smash.  I survived it, though, so it's all good. :D

Note to self: do NOT use Sonic(or, truly, any character lacking in ranged attacks) with the Curray special mode enabled.  Especially when you're playing with lifebars, instead of normal mode.  It's kinda suicide.

I love this game... now if only I could get more friend codes.

How did they nerf Peach though?  I ran through a few times and owned as usual with her.

Add me for a fight. But a forewarning, I can't take much higher than 6 so I'm only about an average player. Also I add any friend numbers I see on here.

Toric

Same as Kenji. I've been to busy satisfying a Pikmin craving to get on WiFi.

Okay, I noticed that most people aren't on when I am, so could people also post the times they'll usually be on and according to what timezone? For me it's usually 3-6 pm Central Standard Time.
