How to put this belated movie review? As a standalone movie it is decent. The action is fast when it is needed to be fast. The stunts interesting even if they do tend to bend the laws of physics. The moral of the story is pretty blatant at times. The punishments for bad deeds justifiably rectified. All in all a good movie with only one major problem. The problem basically is that it comes after Hero.

This is especially disheartening when you realize that this is supposed to be his last movie. Hero sets a pretty damning height that all other movies that would come after it to beat. Fearless... Doesn't. Most of the action is set within very tight, confined areas. There just isn't enough freedom or at least a feeling of freedom in the movie. Everything is locked into place and you can't go outside it. Like a mental handicap, once set, you're stuck inside that invisible line.

As for the quality of the script and the environment, my friend puts it pretty damn well. "Fearless is a hamburger. you can always go back and have another. Hero is a two pound steak. Once you have one with the fixings you're done for the night." You can always go back and watch Fearless again. Hero take you about a year to get back to. However once you watch Hero you'll be spoiled watching Fearless.

Any questions?
