Okay... so going back again to the question of whether Fluffy is male or female... I noticed that in comic #849 Amber states that "One day I'll make HER understand." Whereas in comic #856, Amber states in response to which is her favorite character, "Fluffy. HE'S just a mangy fuzzball with a bow. And teeth! Oh God the teeth!"

So the burning question is... Just what is s/he!

Personally, I think Fluffy has one of the TF guns from El Goonish Shive, and uses it to change gender at random intervals.

If Fluffy has taken some lessons from EGS then surely from Noah, a character that the author managed to keep gender-ambigous for more than half of a year. He went so far than to avoid any pronouns at all when someone was speaking about that character. So, if Amber wants to keep that up, there are still escalations possible.
