A loud bang echoed as the door to Amai's apartment swung open and hit the wall, badly startling Larkin and Vince.

In strode Astri who was barefoot, wearing blue jeans hugging his curves and nothing else. "WHAT is going on? I saw so many people coming and going. Daryil being one of them! Just now I saw him being carried by a giant tiger in a suit." He grumbled and walked towards Larkin. "You are gonna explain now."

On the cat's heels was Karou who wore a bathrobe and fuzzy slippers. "Astri, please calm down..." he whispered as he walked up behind him. Seeing a girly red panda staring back in surprise, and a snep out cold on the couch, he just blinked some. "Um... Hi?" he said towards the panda.

Larkin sighed a bit, feeling his headache worsen. "Astri... long story short. Amai and Jason got hurt when out on their date, because of a bounty that was on Amai. Richard and Nadir are in there taking care of them now."

Astri's ears went flat as his eyes widened. "J-Jason got hurt? Amai as well?" He raised his hands to his head. "Why didn't anyone tell me? I had to come find out..." he growled out as he pushed past.

After being shoved aside, Larkin just closed his eyes until Astri was in the bedroom.

Vince finally recovered from the shock, looking at the husky he waved: "Hi."

The cat similarly threw the bedroom door open, making Nadir and Richard both jump. Seeing the two partners passed out on the bed, he moved to look over them, moving a hand gently through Jason's hair. "Poor guy..."

Karou watched Astri rush out, then looking at Larkin lowered his ears. "Larkin... what happened? Will they be okay?"

"These two," Larkin pointed at the panda and leopard; "bounty hunters, attacked Amai for a prize. Jason tried to help and got almost killed. Daryil was here to visit, ended up teleporting to help and find out what happened." He saw Karou narrow his eyes with fur standing, and raised a hand. "No, they aren't a danger now. That tiger stopped the fight, telling them the bounty was cancelled. He carried people here, explained and left with Daryil."

Lowering his tail Karou grumbled some. "So much happened..." He hugged Larkin, sighing some. "I'll fill in Astri..." he started then thought for a second  "...later. He may go insane hearing this right now."
Letting go he walked to the bedroom, worried. "Will keep calm," he said, more to himself than anyone else, as he shut the door behind him.

"Astri." Nadir said looking at the cat; "Jason will be fine. He was healed magically and Daryil helped."
Just then Karou walked in. "Seems Amai got the worst of it, he had holes in his face and probably got some broken bones."

Richard got up off the floor and moved over to the cat. "Hey..." he wrapped his arms around him. "They will be fine. Sorry you found out late... things were hectic when they showed up. Both bleeding and out cold."

Astri leaned into the hug closing his eyes. "Who did this?" Astir said shoving his face into the fox's fur, shivering a little. The normally cocky, angry ball of fluff was melted away into a scared cat.

Karou watched them as he closed the door "Larkin told me a bit. Apparently someone put a bounty on Amai. Jason got hurt trying to help during the fight. It was quite bad seeing Daryil left from his visit to check. That suited tiger stopped the fight and showed them the bounty got cancelled."
He sighed walking over to the bed sitting on the edge of it to look over the two.

Astri let go of Richard, growling a bit: "If I see who did this..."

Nadir rested his hand on the cat's knee. "We should... just relax for now. You two are welcome to stay. Then you'll know when they wake."

Watching him go grab some extra blankets, Astri took some deep breaths. "Thank you, appreciate that. Karou you don't mind?"

Karou shook his head "Not at all."

Back in the living room, Larkin rubbed at his head some. "I swear any more interruptions..." Sighing out loud, he walked over to the chair he was in before, and sat back down. He stared at Vince and patted the couch next to the snep's feet: "I'm sure you can find room here, we need to talk." Nodding toward the snep, he clarified: "About him. Been years since I saw him last. In all honesty, I didn't know if he was even alive or not."

Vince hesitantly walked over, moved Mikhail's legs a bit and sat down, before pulling his knees up to his chest like earlier. "I heard them call you Larkin... sounded familiar. I didn't wanna bring it up." Looking at the snep, he sighed some. "We can chat a bit."

Larkin moved his legs into the chair as well, watching the panda intently. "Let's see." He briefly pondered. "Did he ever settle down?"

Vince's ears twitched and a chuckle slipped out. "He was like that back then, too? No, he refuses to stay in one spot." Vince shook his head a bit. "We get into fights over that. He says staying in one spot too long-"

"Enemies can find you, gotta pay rent... etc etc." Larkin began to roll his eyes leaning his head back a bit. "I swear... if that boy ever settles down in one spot for long, he might go insane." His tail wagged a bit.

The panda laughed a bit at that reaction. "Good to know it wasn't just with me."

"I guess I should ask how the two of you met, next." the wolf said smiling at the panda

Vince moved his tail into his lap as his ears drooped. "I... I'd rather not go into that," he said, eyes down on the floor. "It brings back memories of... that man..." he trailed off as his body shook.
He'd forgotten he was in a room with an incubus; his mind shield wasn't up as memories of the event
flashed in his mind.

The wolf felt that sudden change and saw him shaking. Rising up slowly he brushed his hand along Vince's head, and smiled softly. "Shhh... you don't need to answer everything. I can tell how bad it affects you." He slowed the petting and looked off to the distance: "Let's change the question. How long have you been together?"

Vince continued looking down, why was this wolf trying to cheer him up? He shook his head a bit to clear his mind. "Um... about... five years," he said as he closed his eyes to lean into the hand. He was still on edge but, the gentle pets were quite nice.

"Five?" Larkin repeated as he continued the comforting movement. "He and I were together for... maybe three years?" Vince's ears perked at that. "Always quick to invite people into the bedroom, which I didn't mind." He chuckled a bit, tail swaying. "We were young why not have fun with it."

"Still does that." Vince blushed a bit, using his round tail to hide his face as he thought about Daryil possibly coming back for the same thing. "Um... how did you meet then?" he asked obviously wanting to change the subject.

The wolf grinned teasingly: "Oh, you wanna know how we met... but keep the secret on yours?" He then thought on it, more seriously: "I used to hit bars and other places, cruising for men. I spotted this snow leopard in one of them." He leaned back a bit to look at Vince. "He was such a dweeb, oh my lords."
A chuckle escaped him thinking back to it. "Was good looking, muscles galore; but about as charming as a brick to the face. He used to stutter."

Vince was heavily invested in the story, before he let out a giggle holding his hands in front of his mouth trying to keep it down to no avail. "No way? Ohhh, I am so gonna tease him."

That made Larkin chuckle too, as he nodded his head: "Not like, a permanent one, but... when he got hit on, or tried to do the same himself." He got a devilish toothy grin. "I watched him try to pick someone up, was adorable." He chuffed some more and sighed a bit. "So I cornered him, said I could cure his stutter back at my place. I didn't think he could get so red. I kissed him and, next thing you know... three years went by."

Laughing louder Vince shook his head, taking in a deep breath to try to calm down. "Oh gods... looks like the cure worked, huh?" His tail tip was swaying a bit while he looked at Mikhail: "Oh, you are in for a world of comments when you get up."

He then turned his gleaming eyes up to Larkin's beaming face. "Thank you for this." Next instant he looked down again, worried but not terrified out of his mind. "This night went so far off the rails." He sighed some, thinking about what'd happened. "Normally I can handle stuff like yelling and threats, but... that Daryil."

Larkin nodded in understanding, and gently rubbed Vince's back. "As I said, Daryil is only that angry when his children are hurt."

Nodding his head, Vince smiled genuinely at the kind wolf. "I understand. Say, would you mind keeping me company and share more stories? I wanna know so much about Mikhail... and you."

Larkin slowly stood up. "Very well, let's get some snacks and drinks."
