Flux is actually non-binary.  I had to quickly pull the Bluesky version and repost it because I referred to them as "he" in the alt text...

And yes, also on Bluesky I pointed out to Merlin that it was starting to look a little like Raiders of the Lost Ark where the situation would have more-or-less resolved itself if the protagonist had stayed in bed.
Merlin's response was that it would have resulted in a number of dead villagers, to which I pointed out that Flux is now exposed not far from the village, and if they find out and get antsy, that too could result in dead villagers.

I was already leaning towards "Unhand my girlfriend", but now I suspect the newcomer is also our missing Clan Daryil member.

The matching tops were a nice hint about their relationship.  As for the Demon being the missing Daryil clan member, we'll have to see...
