The Outer Fortress / what a shit valentines day
Last post by thegayhare - February 14, 2026, 09:54:58 PMI know this is soon after the announcment I made last night but this was suddenly a thing and im a little broken cause of this day. and getting this out keeps me from crying so much
this has some rough spots, with violance against animals so if thats something you can't handle (wish I hadn't had to) feel free to ignore this.
It actually started out pretty good. The boy fox had to do some saterday work today so I went down last night and set up his v day suprise on his work station, and grabbed the last of my prints for the stage of the armor. nothing big
then as I do every saterday I went out to get the weeks groceries... I didn't make it far about 10 minutes into the trip on the free way we had slowed down, I noticed a dog on the side of the free way and I was debating on if I should stop to try and get it in to take it to a shelter when the car infront of me swerves. Turns out there was a second dog a black one and that car went around it, I narrowly missed it as well but the truck in the next lane did not. I immeditly pull over to the curb, and as I was getting out I see the first dog, I can only assume trying to get to its freind, run into traffic and also get hit. these were hard hits. and I assumed the one hit first was dead, but the second one got to its feet and scrabled off the road. I got out and ran back to try and get the one moving into my car so I could get it to a vet. thats when I heard the first one howling as it lay 3 lanes into the traffic. I stopped and tried to signal for people to slow, and thanfully no one else hit the dog but it took awhile before I could get to the pup. His back legs didn't seem to be working so I scooped him up by the armpits and ran to the shoulder and back over to my car. I'm guessing at some point the pain got to be to much and he did lash out, I caught a few teeth in the face but honestly I didn't notice in the moment. at this time a good samaritain asked if he could help, I pointed him in the direction the other dog had fled, and a woman brought be the towel her dogs layed on in her car. I got the pup into the trunk and wrapped up, the man came back said he couldn't find the other dog so I thanked him and asked the lady to staf for a moment since I saw where it had dissapeared into the trees. no luck. I get back to the car and thank the lady and tell her I'll take the dog to the vet I use.
as I start up my care I realise that won't work my vets closed weekends, a quick search pulls up an emergancy vet clinic and off I go. the whole time I'm saying "It'll be okay, and your a good girl" I hadn't checked and assumed it was a girl. I know hes alive because I could hear breathing. 15 minutes later I stumble into the clinic bleeding from the face and no ones around. eventually I get a nurse teller what happened and they get a stretcher, I fill out paper work, call the fox, and wait. The vet comes back, fractured leg, ribs and some clavical damage, they have him (thats how I found out) on pain killers but they don't have the best stuff for him but the prognosis looks promissing but to give him his best shot there is a better emergancy vet clinic nearby, thats a 15 more minute drive and they would have the good drugs, they have actual surgons on call and work with the human sociaty, so It might be better if I could take him there. I agree but ask to use the bath room to atleast wash off the blood and blow my nose. they get the boy loaded into my car and thats when I notice his eyes. He was a lab/huskey mix they think and he had that blue hetrocromia eyes, black fur and a white stripe on his belly.
so road trip two again soon I'm asking for help, out comes the stretcher, I'm given a clip board and a pen, I let them know the first clinic is sending exrays, what damage they said they had found and that they had administerd some pain killers but they didn't have the best stuff. I fill out the form, say it was a stray (dispite the coat and body waight seeming to be too good go that) let them know about the bite, and they tell me it doesn't look good. they way the dog was holdinging itself, they way its eyes were dialating differntly, they think there was some spinal damage and they didn't think the pup had much of a chance. I'm bawling of course, I pat the boy on the head and appologise I couldn't do more, and slink away to the car.
My fox meets me at home. (aparently he was watching my location on the phone) tells me to change shirts (for the blood) and lets me clean up before letting the boys loose on me. they coulds smell something wrong and I honestly don't know what to do.
I called the human sociaty incase some one calls about a missing dog, I've been by the spot twice to see if I could find the other one, all in all its a shit day, with little to show for it but a few teeth marks onn the face, but I don't know what else I can do

Yes, but if Aisha and the guild have done the thing properly, I doubt the 'good' Captain will get that chance.

Tower of Art / Armor up

I'm using a set up football shoulder pads painted black and I then plan to mod it out with several armor peices.
so here is the breast plate

This is based on the mandalorian armor I printed off the breast plate pieces, didn't bother with the belly plates and then made a mount for the center and printed a hollow zelda rupee
The powercell

that central mount, I used some 3 diod leg strips to light it up with a nice glow up
and the backplate

This was a section of juggernaut armor from destiny, I split it into 4 scaled it up but after printing it off I realised it wasn't wide enough so I modded a bigger connector piece

I just remembered I forgot to make a small announcement to the folk around here
On christmass My bastard of a boyfox ambushed me. Infront of his whole family, after I made a hundred cheese cakes the little shit pulled out a ring and asked me to marry him.
Its a nice black tungstan carbide with a meator inlay and t rex fossil inlay
So I need to upgrade the fox's relationship name. Hes no longer just my boyfox, till spring hes my Foxancie (thats a mouthful) but I will need a fox related spousal term. Any suggestions?
