ooc: this is really just a place for furry characters to hang out, intereact. there's no plot. it's also a nifty distraction for me, but that's another story.
[slowly, a nine-tailed kitsune "fades" into veiw, as if through mist. he is 6'2'' with jet-black fur with gray mixxed in on hands, feet, chest, and the tips of his tails, as well as the tips of the edge feathers of his wings white as snow.he has peircing blue eyes and a soft, kind smile]
welcome, kin of fur and feather, to the valley of the wild side. here, we may meet and gather, regardless of "species" or past conflict, where we can take a time from the troubles of our worlds, our times. I am a master shapeshifter and enchanter, so if you are without wings and wish them, just speak.
[I crouch, open my wings, and leap up, beating my wings in powerfull strokes. I glide through the valley in slow, sweeping arcs, enjoying the breeze and the thermals]
A pure white dragon looks up at the kitsune flying slow arcs around the valley and feels sad that no one came to play with him yesterday. Knowing that forumites respond well to sweets she spreads a picnic blanket and places a plate of chocolate peanutbutter oatmeal cookies in the center and a thermos of pink lemonade beside it. (She totally forgets that she is a 20' dragon and her cookies are larger than some of the forumites) Then she goes to a large rock at the edge of the clearing and spreads her wings to back in the warm sun until someone shows up to play.
The mixed-breed wanders about, always keeping to the Sadows, knowing that she might frighten some poor victim. as she walks, clicks against the ground are heard, as well as a soft dragging noise.
Mel lifts her head from where it was pillowed on her paws and watches the figure in the shadows for a moment. With a yawn she stretches her wings to their full span before settling them back to the folded position. "Is that the famous pirate captain I see? The only thing that might be considered for plunder is the plate of cookies, but you're welcome to loot as many as you wish."
She steps out of the Shadows, a wide grin on her face. "Aye. i be looking for a good plate o' snack fer a while now." she crosses over and sits next to the white Dragon as she 'plunders' a buncha cookies, scarfing 'em down like she was eating for the first time in years.
[swooping low over the others, he notices several large cookies]
hmm. they're a bit too big for me right now, but...
ah well. the shapshifting guild already has my bounty set at over 3 million.
*landing, I make a few gestures with my hand, transforming into a giant etheral fox*
{I'm going to have to use telepathy to talk for now. anyways, got any of those soft and chewey choclate chip cookes I'm so fond of?}
"They are chocolate peanutbutter oatmeal, but they are very soft and chewy." Mel nods her head in Xze-Xze's direction. "We really should ask the birthday girl what her favorite flavor is."
laughs gently, bits of cookie falling out of her mouth "mah fabrot kwookwe ith whot shocklate ship"
"A chocolate ship? How appropriate for a pirate queen." Mel laughs. While she isn't the strongest magic user dessert magic never fails her. One of the cookies leaps into the air and with a quick flip turns into a chocolate chip ship, complete with chocolate sails and a tiny pirate flag. "Happy birthday, Xze-Xze." It sails through the air into the hands of the famous pirate.
Xze's eyes widen "MINE!!" she starts licking it slowly, her tail wagging fiercely

*thinks a minute*

[after eating a few cookies, the kitsune returns to his regular form. he imeadiatly sets to crafting a chocolate masterpiece, adding in spells to keep it from melting]

The cubi fox appears walking out onto the plains, wondering why there was a picnic this far out into the valley. He decides to sit a small distance from the gathers, unsure of its purpose or if he would be welcome.
Xze's Blue eye looks at the new arrival, and she smiles. "why, don't be a Stranger, mate! Come 'ere and join the party!" she laughs, continuing to lick the chocolate and Stealing a bit 'o mountain Dew
Ronin looks over to the side, sighs and wanders over, closer to the group but still keeping a small distance, slightly alert. He decides to ask "Why is there a picnic all the way out here?"
Bites off the lil pirate flag and grins "I 'ave no idea myself, lad...." she says before continuing to lick the chocolate, her muzzle getting covered with melted chocolate
ah. finally finnished.
[with these words, the completed chocolate sculpture floats into veiw, a full size replica of the black pearl]

ah, what the heck, I'm bored. *sets to making a chocolate eneterprise*
"Xze-Xze's birthday is the end of the week so we're getting ready for the party. And the parties around here need to be FAR from civilization, particularly the pirate parties."
Mel starts hanging party lights from the trees. She seems to have gotten the lights from a discount bin or attic somewhere because none of them match. Some are normal lights, others are shaped like skulls, and a third type are in the form of pink flamingos.
"So far we only have chocolate chip cookies for refreshments though. Do you have any suggestions?"
Another cubi fox...this time in ninja clothing...enters the area and asks what the party's for...
A rather encentric looking black fox wanders into the valley, a worn and patched jesters hat on his head, a small mask over his eyes. He shuffles and reshuffles a deck of wierd cards in silver ring clad fingers, a long sword slapping against the leg of his baggy black pants. Lime green eyes dart about from under the mask, a sly grin spreading across his features
Xze looks at the Kitsune and Squeals. "Aye!! This be the most magnificent...Dessert i have seen!!" she leaps onto the chocolate deck, lies down, and starts licking, not noticing the 2 new arrivals...
"It's a party because we like to have parties, but then it turned into Xze-Xze's birthday party. But now that Kitsune gave her that giant chocolate ship we may not see her again until her birthday is long past."
Done hanging the lights from the trees Mel looks around. "We aren't doing well on refreshments though. Do we have any magic users who can help out? Having studied food magic under the famous mage Wonka I can only produce sugary substances."
Ronin shrugs at the question Mel asks, "I dunno, maybe someone should go off and search for drinks and stuff at the nearest city. I dunno much magic when it comes to food." He then looks down the direction he came from, wondering about something.
Xze starts rolling around on the chocolate deck and stand up to look over the port side at the others "You guys should try this!!" she yells, her fur black no longer, but full of melted chocolate..
" I Know a little bit of summoning Jitsu that can Summon food... want me to do it?" asked Issac
Ronin sighs and flies up to where Xze is and examines the rest of the ship "I'm afraid to see what will happen if this thing melts." He hovers to the deck and examines the rest of the area.
Grabs a bit of melted Chocolate and tosses it at Ronin, starting to giggle as her playful side surfaces
Ronin catches the chocolate, suddenly landing before the tentacles on his wings sprout and examine the chocolate, then consume it. They then begin to be pulled away by Ronin before they have a desire to eat most of the deck.
Xze frowns and starts launching melted chocolate almost at everyone using her hands, wings and tail
Luckily for Issac, he was using Hyperspeed jitsu to dodge the chocolate projectiles..." you missed me :P "
Ronin catches the chocolate thrown at him. He thinks for a while, and shrugs.
Why not? This is a party after all. Why not do something?
He molds the chocolate into a chocolate ball and throws it at Xze the same way one throws a snowball.

Looks at Ronin and promptly gets hit by the chocolateball. "eh...is there a reason why i would mind?" she asks, licking her muzzle
"Hey Xze..." Issac points to a chocolte statue of Jack Spearow he made....
Ronin shrugs and decides to make a baseball bat out of one of the railings of the model. He poses and, using magic, forms a few chocolate balls that hover in the air.
"You know what's comming next right?"
I can take a few guesses. anyways, we should start a refreshment list so that I can summon it all.
Cake (preffered type?)
Ice cream (all flavors. any that no one else eats, I will)
cookies (keep the chocolate chip goodness flowing)
pizza (toppings?)

Xze stares at Issac's Statue. "JACKY-HONEY!!" She jumps overboard and clings onto the statue, making a wierd purring-growling sound...
Ronin lowers the bat, shrugs, and sets aside the equipment for smacking around later. He jumps off the ship and sits cross-legged at the picnic and looks at the list of Kitsune's.
"Hmm... can you get a pizza with extra cheese?"
pokes the Chocolate Jack statue "erm...This Jack is missing the things he braided into hair...and his headband...and his hat is wrong..." Xze starts pouting "I want the REAL Jack..."
"I like hawaiian pizza ( ham and pineapple), and chocolate cake and Root Beer...
"Xze likes Mushroom pizza!! and Strawberry cheesecake! and Pitch Black Mountain Dew!!"
*summons some arcade games with his summoning jitsu* Anyone up for Initial D? any DDR?
the pizza and root beer go on the list. however, I think xze-xze should choose the cake.

"Yay, pizza!" Mel starts for the refreshment table then realizes that her dragon form towers over it. "I hate being short and fluffy," she mutters to herself as she changes to her feline form. Still pure white and blue eyed she is now a petite feline with dragon wings. And super extra fluffy fur that makes her look either scared or mad all the time. "But now the pizza looks extra big. Yum." She grabs one piece of the double cheese and one piece of the mushroom and begins alternating bites.

Party Jitsu, CD Jukebox summon!
*a cd jukebox appears and Issac presses a couple of buttons..."Wake me up inside" from "Evanescene" starts to play...*
BJ appears on top of a rock next to the jukebox, "ick, if you're going to play something, play something you can party to." The strange jester fox taps the jukebox and it begins blasting trance, "much better!"
Xze frowns and stomps over to the Jukebox and changes it to play 'Twisted Transistor' from KoRn. She the slips into hypnotic trance as she listens to one of her favorite songs
BJ's ears twitch in annoyance, "well at least the music isin't completely terrible"
Ronin wanders over to the tables, taking no notice of any music. He picks up a plate and promptly retrieves three slices of pizza, one hawaiian, one cheese, and one pepperoni. He then sits somewhere shaded and devours the pizza.
*wanders over to the dance-dance revolution arcade and starts a game. a few pieces of the hawiian disapear as he walks past the table, and a bit of pizza sauce appears at the corner of his mouth*
*Issac goes to eat some Hawaiian pizza then plays Initial D....*
Mel grabs some Mt. Dew and wanders over to the arcade area to watch Kitsune play DDR.
Takes a slice of mushroom pizza, and notices Kitsune playing her favorite game. She quickly devours the pizza, takes a gulp of Dr.Pepper, and jumps onto the Machine, ready to play.

[a second jukebox appears. at first, people think it's broken or turned off. however, as they cross the kitsune's path, they notice his favorite songs playing "faintly". that is to say the kitsune can hear them perfectly, but others can only hear them if they are near and listen closely]

and now that I'm familiar with one ddr song, we can start. at least, I'm pretty sure it's a ddr song. *starts butterfly up*
The biplane lands and the pilot gets out and approaches the party.

the new tail? well, actually it's a new 991 tails, but my posterior would get a little crowded in this form if they were all physically present. I'm still not completely sure how I got them, but I seem to have, true to my name, ascended to a new level of ability, one that previously did not exist.
hmm. things seem to have slowed down a bit. what we need is something to do.

A young feline male enters the room. Marking on his palms indicate he is of the fire elemental tribe. He walks in a respectable manner, hs left hand clutching his staff, perpendicular to the floor. He sits with his legs crossed on the floor, then he looks up. You see his brown hair waving in his face. His experessions are neutral, and he shows no sign of emotion. He looks into your eyes, and the smiles. He then places his metallic staff in front of him, and bows slightly. He intoduces himself, "Ello, I'm Topher"
[seeing a new face, the kitsune quickly lands]
and a very fine day to you. I am called the kitsune ascendant, but that's because my name got lost somewhere in the last two thousand years or so. *notices sign on hand* fire elemental, huh? been a while since I've seen one of you guys. I used to do such lovely fire sculptures with one of the chiefs, a couple hundred years ago. anyways, the weathers's good, and I enjoy drifting along the breeze. feel free to join me.

Chooses the wings over his challenge, I've never flown before, this should be fun.
okay. I'll start you off with the basic set. let me know if you want anything special.
[kitsune ascendant aproaches tophar. several runes of a lost language appear in succesion on his palm, the last one being "flight", which detatches itself and lands on tophar's forhead. a few seconds later, beautiful wings matching his fur's color "fade" into reality, with any necesary clothing modifications taking place at this time]
now, you want to start off with gentle movements. gliding, slow climbs. you want to take it easy until you get used to flying. I've seen some people get a set of wings, try some wild stunt and end up with a broken bone or two. just follow my lead
[gets a running start, leaps up into the air, and does several nice, easy glides across the valley]
Follows by running closely behind kitsune, he takes a great leap ad slowly gets used to the wings, he looks down out the minimizing valley below, noticing the puzzle-like patterns.
a purple light appers like a rain drop in the room and changes into a wolf that more metal then flesh. he touch what liuks like his belt and and is engulfed in blue white light. the is there sounds of electrivty crackling an his body chans . he his a grey wolf smiling as he looks arond. "this place looks nice"
Something catches Tophers eye as he glides accross the village, a purple-ish light flashes, he descends a bit to investigate.
Realizing it was just another furrie, Topher returns to Kitsune, "So how old are you, exactly?"

combination of my ambient magic, some spells that other kitsune have placed, and this valley's placement in space, time, and the pan-dimensional cosmos. to be specific, it is one of a few focal points where several dimensions meet, creating a "poket" dimmension, which, in this case, my kind has shaped over several billion years. when I got my ninth tail, I inherited it from the previous keeper. last time I checked, he had sealed himself in a dimmension-hopping capsule with a sleep spell that would last a few hundred milenia. something about wanting to wake up to a suprise.
off to the side from the second floor e hears some of these words and nods. "so thats whast going on here"

this particular version lasts as long as you're here in the valley . however, I can give you a more permanant version, if you like.

hmm... there's always ariel raquetball. basically you have a long "box" made of energy open on the ends, then you have an energy ball that you hit with your hands. and if that doesn't sound fun, there's always ariel tag. or mabye sky paintball.
Accepts the Tag challenge, unexpectidly Topher pokes Kitsune and zooms away flapping his wings as hard as he can

Topher turns to see where his opponent is and realizes he is inches away from being tagged. He quickly swirves into a dive, leaving him speeding downward toward the village.

*tucks legs in and wraps wings around body,overall minimizing air resistance and turning myself into a furry "meteorite", hurtling after tophar*
Topher eeks as he is being neared, he tries to slow himself down but he cant. He then moves into his tapped form, merely missing being killed. He turns over his fiery shoulder and sees Kitsun look him in the eye. Topher returns to his normality and takes off at a sprint then gradually speeding through with his wings.

you want to go advanced, eh? no complaints here. [as he says this, kitsune ascendant transforms into his full fox form, with the wings on his back shifting to acomidate the four legged form* before we start, though, a few mods to the laws of physics so we don't get hurt.
the game is afoot, and I have the proverbial high ground. *takes off at blinding speed, aiming for a tackle tag*
[tophers tapped form is basically his body covered in fire. During which he is completely made of fire. He can change his shape and form into anything he likes, and his life is on a thin line whenever his opposite [water] is in his presence. A little wont hurt. But if he were to fall into say a pool in his tapped form, his chance of survival will be low. If he does get away alive, he'll most likely be in a kulma]

Topher yips with joy as the fox begins to chase him. he runs at a slow pace at first then he begins to go faster and faster. Furries watch in aww as he begins to take greater leaps and he is actually bounding like a kangaroo.

we're going to need a bigger valley.
[there are a few earth-shatering booms as both kitsune and tophar break the sound barrier, and continue to accelarate. kitusune tucks his wings in tightly. tophar sees something fly past him, but is too busy running to notice it. then, kitsune does something completly unexpect: he flares his wings out, digs all four paws in, and comes to a screeching halt. that's when tophar realizes what was thrown in front of him: a teleport spell. before he can avoid it, he hits it and ends up right next to kitsune]
tag. *takes off running again*
Topher grins and turns toward the direction of the running fox. "I may not have spells, but I have talent." Topher speeds off, bounding with joy.
Drake carefully observes the two cretures having fun below him. His wings had caught a good headwind, allowing him to glide and hover as he willed.
"wonder if I could join that.." he idly wondered aloud. he wasent near as fast as the others, but he figured his dodging abillity and lightning reactions could keep him afloat in the game...
[OOC: my char is a teenaged Wolf-angel with a black vest, black jeans and a yellow T-shirt, just so ya know]
[hearing drake as he was running, kitsune turned and shouted]
'course you can join! and if need be, I suppose we can slow down!

quite alright! frankly, it's not a very intersting game of tag when I don't run into something!
Continues to bound happily after kitsune, making a mental note on the new players mark, he think over his chances of kitsune and decides he'd have better chances with drake. Topher screeches to a turning halt and starts after drake
*Issac baps the jukebox, which then starts to play "Final Countdown" ( by "Europe")...*
*spotting Topher as he turned, Drake immediately began flying as fast as he could in the opposite direction, though he wasn't near fast enough to out-speed him. he soon found topher only inches away from his tail. immediately diving out of the sky and heading at break-neck speed towards the ground,he summoned a portal in front of him, and micro seconds later he, closely followed by Topher, dove into it. A second portal appeared moments later back where he had started, Drake flying out of it, then then pulling an aerial somersault to get behind the one-way exit portal. moments later a slightly disorientated Topher flew out, not realising Drake was behind the portal until he closed it.*

Topher only half realizing what had just happened begins to try and push himself to the limit, tempted to dive but not sure if that would work, besides, he didn't want to make himself look like a fool if he missed. Topher thinks in his haid what he should do. Both of his opponents were either faster or more cunning than he. Topher decides to take the risk and he takes the grewatest leap he can. As he floats through the air, everythings seems to slow down. Philisophical thoughts run through his head. Such as, If a vegetarian bites his lip, does he feel guilty? Shaking out of the trance topher reaches for Drake's tail. He extends his right arm as far as it will go, closing his eyes, sweat trickling down the side of his face, clenching his teeth, Topher......

e sits down and thinks mulling over what happened. Their had to be an explanation as to how he merged with gospel despite them both being organic. That magic not technology was at work here. That and that gospel ever came spoke of magic. that meant that he should be able to fly the way he use to. Does being organic having he would have to rely some thing such as wing power. jet fusion energy did not work for organics or did it? maybe instead of trying so hard to flap about he show try to control his flight as if he was in his normal robot form but the energy wait a minute flight magic... burte forges magice... flight energy ... flight elements ... wind energy. in e's dream he is having a crisis. for the first time in untold years he reviews the concepts of good and evil. he sensing forte's drives and ambitions. his ego and his desirers. he wants power. to prove he is the strongest he will destroy any other robot. to prove his strength and be superior he would sacrifice his very existence. It is here in the cusp of battle E relearns the nature of determantion.
as kitsune's subconcious mind wanders farther and farther from reality, some strange things happen. .in fact, he is confronted at one point by a mean looking ... whatever the heck it was. it had a chiwuawua head, the body of a shrunken elephan, tentacles for arms, and feet that broke several laws of physics, leaving several as sobbing broken heaps. then, it started singing "be a man" from mulan. rune tail was very glad he did not fit into that anime schoolgirl uniform he had been fond of a few hundred years ago when he decided to try being a girl...

sighed if i must then i must. the first play that tied to eat the entire bowel what chee but i'm not sure ever a jabber jaw manover was large enough to eat a bowl that large. after that kitsune unleashed a powerful attack that reminded me of a Kaza...kaza....of a wind tunnels and consumed everything within 20 meters of his body including his competition.... can we call this ones a draw? and one of you has to cough up that portal before i know who reached it first.
that works too. anyways, the second challenge is the jello dive. scored by feet (post seconds) times style (judged by whoever feels like it, scale of 10).

Adjustin himself so he can land in the center of the jello, he boosts with all his got, he plunges into the jello face first*
*a puff of smoke escapes from a slit from where he entered*
e claps. it was a fairly original and he must have penetrated the jello mold by at least 75 maybe 100 feet. " no splatter or bounce but not vibration either and the curling pattern is nice touch. but you lose a few points for lack of vibration and failure to exit. with out disturbing the entry path. 8.9. by the way teleporting is not an allowed exit strategy" writes down the score then motions for them to bring out the next jello mode also at a hight of 100 meters
hmm. that's going to be a bit difficult to top. well, here goes.
[kitsune starts facing away from the jello pool. he bends over backwards, then springs up from his hands, leaving a trail of rainbow flame, while summersaulting several times in the air. about halfway up, he straightens up and creates a shadow clone, and starts helix spiral, coming closer and closer to his clone self. at the peak (several miles up in the air), he grabs his clone from behind. his fur begin to glow white, and blue runes apear all across his body]
CELESTIAL LOTUS!
[as rune tail and his clone decend, head first, they begin to spin at an amazing speed, becoming what ammounts to a many-tailed furry bullet. as he enters the jello pool, he lets go of his shadow clone, which continues on a downard path and poofs out when it hits the bottom, rune tail arches as close to the bottom as he can get, letting his momentum carry him up and out. he pops into the air a few feet, does a flip, and lands in the cusomary 'Y' stance]
e claps. as a fan on nin-jitsu he had learned a lot of techniques no that he used many. the use of a shadow replication was very original and adding it with the leaf village reverse lotus (hidden lotus) tech was astounding. it would take his a year or more to learn the timing for that kind of thing in an organic body.
"well done. highly original and you combined several techniques including a few form the village of kohona. the entry was flawless and you left the entry path 'nice funnel by the way" intact and you used the high speed shallow angle escape manoeuvre in a fashion worthy of Critian or Piccard... still as good are you were this is something frightening about the technique. 9.5.

Actually, it was the celestial lotus. it's the kitsune variation of the main lotus, renamed to show it is uniquely kitsune.
we also had to redo the naming for the variations of it because of our chakra system and where our gates are. nearly all of our chakra is generated in our tails, so we have one gate for each tail. the basic celestial lotus is with one tail chakra gate open, while susequent variations add the number of tails with gates open. so a two tailed celestial lotus would involve opening the limiters of two tails.
anyways, I'll come up with the third challenge in a little while.

sighs them what of the Kubi that inhabits the same space as the boy Naruto? and who names their child boiled fish? i has seen evidence that Naruto is comming closer to being a kubi in body as he is in chakra but he still only has one tail and can not substain the power of the older kubi in his body.

that situation is... unique. the kyuubi demon is actually not kitsune, not in any normal sense. he was at one point, long ago, but his chakra system became rather different when he used some pretty nasty dark magic to try to give himself more tails. completely screwed with his chakra system. this is all further complicated by the fact that he was trapped inside naruto. trying to make sense of it will just make your head hurt.
anyways, the third challenge will be:

alright folks, I am ready to unveil my dessert masterpiece.
[everyone looks to see two 7 tailed kitsune figures and one small one tailed kitsune child carved out of the blocks of lemon angelfood cake, all in their fox forms. one of the larger ones is carefully covered in dark chocolate with a bit of lime juice mixxed in, just enough to give it a light flavor. there are details carefull carved into the surface, giving this figure a masculine appearance. the other large kitsune figure is covered in white chocolate with a bit of orange mixxed in (just enough for flavor without changing the snow-white color, with details carved carefully into the surface of the chocolate to give this figure has a definate feminine appearance. the child kitsune is covered in dark chocolate with a hint of the juice from a special berry that only exists in a few dimensions. again, the details are carved into the chocolate. all three look very realistic. the eyes are a real work of art on all three. each one used a thin layer of jello layered into the chocolate, with black food coloring for the pupils, and food coloring to match the jello's color on the back: yellow for the male's, green for the female's, and a mysterious blue for the child's. even more impressive (and touching) is the scene they portray, of rune tail's parents and himself at a young age. there is a scale moutain and a cave made of white mint-chocolate chip flavored ice cream. the father is just returning, and is walking in through the entrance. inside, the kit, only 12 years old (which is very, very young by kitsune physiology. about three or four in human years, though our brains are more at our real age in compared devolpment) is lying down against his mother, and was obviously just asleep, with one eye half open and looking towards the entrance. the mother is smiling softly at the child, proud and loving]
this is a fairly old recipe. in fact, it was handed down to me from my father, who got it from his father, and so on to practically the beginning of time. they're all still around, of course. we kitsune don't really die ever. quite frequently, though, we'll go into seclusion after a few million years, make room for the next thousand generations or so. this wouldn't be possible without our connections to magic, but that's another story. this dessert is usually made for a big celebration, which actually leads me into my announcment.
As you might be aware, I am one of the very few kitsune to pass the nine tail mark. this is usually cause for a massive celebration, and while I have one such celebration with my fellow kitsune, I feel such an occasion bears two parties.

"The tart citrus flavors of the lemon and orange are expertly counterpointed with the sweetness of the blueberries. When I first saw this dish I believed that the heavy creaminess of the chocolate would overwhelm the more delicate nature of the cake but the chef has managed to avoid this crisis by the inspired use of jello as leavening agent. Altogether yummy with a spectacular presentation."

there's several types of pizza, about 10 made of several chicken recipes (just pull of a piece thinking of a type you like and it'll become that, breaded or not. your choice. teryaki chicken's real good), some 10 of a similar one made out of steak and beef, the "grab bag" one over there which'll give you just about anything edible (though it'll sense alergies and such so that it can work around them), and I can make others as needed. all of them are regenrative, so take as much as you want, just leave a few crumbs for it to come back from.

The CameraBot strafes to the side in a failing attempt to avoid being poked. A voice is heard from a small speaker on the top, speaking in an almost arrogant, matter-of-fact manner.

this is apparently some sort of floaty camera thing that some person sent to check out the area. as for it being a life-form... I got nothing. but it makes a greaty toy. *bats the camera thing and then pounces on it*
Caught off-guard and slow to react, the CameraBot wobbles around under the newly introduced weight. It floats upwards, lifting Kitsune on top, and flies around the table at a slower speed than usual.

I need some repularlifts, a shell, and some basic circuitry for a semi-random flight path and wireless interface. also, acceleration dampeners. oh, and maybe a soft cover. rubber should do nicely. *summons the parts on the spot and puts them together using telekenisis, then programs the resulting floaty-ball to do a fast paced random path thoughout the neighboring forest, and chases after it*
e chuckles knowing he could summon it to his hand but then were was the fun it that.? he morphs back through robot then the armored wolf and finally to his feral wolf state. wait for me kit!

DM rubs his forehead, sighing frustradedly, then turns back to the CameraBot.
"Did you find out anything else 'useful'?"
"Well..." The machine pauses to gather its thoughts, "There seems to be no problem with dimensional travellers, but a human would be out-of-place, so you'd better go with your anthro form. Also, there is apparently a pirate stealing pants, which could be a problem. And there is pizza. Lots of pizza."
"Then what are we waiting for?" DM grins and takes a small handheld computer from his pocket, pushing a button. After a brief glow and a flash of light, the young man has apparently been replaced by a cougar anthro in a black martial arts gi, sporting white spikey anime-style hair. "Let's go party!" He takes off towards the festivities, the CameraBot following closely behind.

A white dragon appears in the clearing. She looks around, startled. "What the heck?" Two small items fly between her feet and then back around her. She realizes it is Kitsune and a toy of some sort. "Hi, Kitsune. I guess I missed the end of the cooking contest. You must have some temporal interference in your valley."
(Actually my mortally wounded laptop was only working in fits and starts. New one is here. Yeah!)
She twists her neck around to see where the fox and the toy went only to have the ball double back and bop her on the nose. "Ouch! Is this dodgeball?"

e sits pondering as this reminds him oh analog man a person he had face before. he had not been powerful per say but he was near impossible to beat in a card battle game due to his cheating deck. e had had to wait for a hero to save that wold though he kept things together until the hero had the daring and the skill that his power needed to fight him. the hero can 50 years later and his name was DigigodE. a egotistical brat but one much like himself. if fact it was .. i hat time Travel he thought as he watched the battle play out. e Returned the the present again
"No problem Kitsune, you just startled me a bit. I do think that a dragon is a little big to join in." She throws a handful of something dark and fluffy on the ground then changes into a bobcat sized white feline. "If I went housecat size you foxies would be chasing me." Then she pounces into the middle of the pile of fluffy grey mice. "Mousies, yahh!" Flipping one into the air with her paw she hits it like a tennis serve into the underbrush, quickly following. Soon all that is left to be seen is the tip of a fluffy white tail.
*e looks around and groans* aww man. where did everyone go? there flash back keep happening and i miss out on the fun stiff.
A fluffy catnip mouse going flying past e-voyager's head. There is a giggle from a nearby tuft of grass. "Watch out for those flying mice." The grass waves furiously and another mouse lands at e's feet. "Catnip mousies are dangerous and tricky opponents. Don't let that one get away."
e raisins a paw to try and grab the mouse toy. "i got it"

From her hiding place in the grass Mel throws catnip mice towards both Tait and Zedd.
The cougar anthro focuses his faintly glowing blue eyes on the arctic fox before him. He smiles and pets the fox.
"Well aren't you just the cutest little thing! What might your name be?"
He looks around, tracing the scent of cat-nip.
*mews and pads the catnip mice*
E pick up the toy and with a snap of hsi head he toses it up inot the air to catch it again.
Mel bats a mouse towards the food table. She jumps after it but miscalculates the slipperiness of the table. She skids into the pie selection with a crash. A moment later a sticky mess jumps off the table and with the affronted dignity only a feline possesses she stalks into the hidden darkness under the table. Shortly thereafter they hear "Mmm... lemon meringue!" and a happy purr.

the mixed-breed watches everyone running around without their pants. she chuckles evilly before slowly ripping the pants to shreds.

Mel pokes her head, still covered in lemon pie, out from under the table to see what all the noise is. Decides she is better off under the table and returns to pie removal.

thank you kitsune but you've done so much for us. dad probably has them already ready and all but he won't give it to men until i either wait or threaten him with my buster point blank. still those pants of mine will keep Xze-Xze bust a good while though. while they can be ripped and torn it is hare ever for guts man ore a full size dragon and Xze-Xze is still young... well young compared to us at least.

The cougar meeps as he's picked up, watching the ground below. Upon being placed in the clearing, he looks around, and finds a nice large rock to hide behind. Peering out, he watches, waiting to pounce, his tail twitching eagerly.

alright. I replaced all the circuitry with stuff I made myself, so it should be less buggy. I've also replaced it's power cell with a energy reciever, and the transmitter has a radius of about 500 yards, limiting the floating ball to the area I've marked.

you know, it's been a while since I've tried my dragon tranformation. *takes a running leap off the ledge, transforming mid-air into a golden dragon of eastern shape, and flys off*
Mel looks down and sees the cougar waiting patiently. Knowing that Kitsune is now in the air she looks around to see who else there is to play tag. She sees Zedd and sends the flying toy to lure him down the path. That game begun she flies back to the food tables. A moment later the dragon is gone and an oversized white cat stalks a fluffy white fox tail visible from under a couch.
*goofy like howl when he flys far*
Caught by surprise, the cougar meeps and runs away from Zedd. After a short sprint he begins to run in circles, for no particular reason at all.

sorry, I was busy being an eastern dragon. I think I broke a few speed records in that form. also pulled more g's in this one loop than a fighter pilot will see in his entire career. and that was with a loop that had a 2 mile radius. then I flew as fast I could through that forest.

" what is it and why does the world flash as I try to run? I wanted to move faster not teleport."

hmmm... haven't seen the flash step in a while. you are indeed running faster. fast enough, in fact, that your untrained mind is having trouble keeping up, thus, the flash. you have two options for learning how to control it:
get an intuitive sense from practice, or
learn how to controll your perception of time by increasing the rate at which your mind processes information.
I recomend the latter, as it has plenty of other applications, and you should be quite capable of it with only a little training.
we'll start with a simple excercise. *creates a floating orb of blue energy* right now, this orb is highly sensitive to even the subtlest changes in the speed you are processing information, so it will magnify the changes. it will also glow red if you try to directly affect it. now try to slow it down in your mind.

i'm guessing around 12 hours worth to me all energy is energy i can adapt it and transmute it as was part of my normal bodies designs. in my true form or at least i thing it's my try form i'm some kind of energy enity myself.
mkay then. I want you to do whatever you do when you activate your dash, except don't send any energy to it. then try releasing a small amount of chakra into the system. adjust it until you can go exactly one meter using a flash step.
Well I fixed my pants
E closes his eyes and breath deeply as he thing of his dash system. Then he steps landing five meters away. This was an improvement. The world did not flash to him as he steps and e better understands the abilities. it was like a dash in it's way except that you were not locked in out direction or duration. still he need to understand more. he turns to Kitsune to ask him for help separate out the energy used.
E's hand light up with two revolving energy patterns. Red, purple, black and blue. "can you tell me which of these energies is what you call charka?" one more energy appears it his a odd energy dark with sparkles of light in it and this energy feel's E with concern as he watches it dances on his palm before giving was to the blue flame and the purple.

good, good. now, for those who walked in on the party late, this is to celebrate my ascendance to ten tails. while the kitsune clan I hail from will usually have a small ceremony for the gaining of a new tail, this is an especially momentous occasion, as I am the first ever to reach ten tails. Now, with each new tail, my kind usually picks a new name, their previous name becoming a new piece of their extended name (yes, it is annoying having to write our full names after the third or fourth tail. usuall, documents require only our current name, family name, and the previous name, though). anyways, there is a naming ceremony to be held as soon as I can think of a good name. and while I'm springing surprises on you guys.
*a glowing sphere surounds rune tail, which slowly shifts into the shape of a female ten-tailed kitsune. as the glow fades, she is revealed to be a slender beauty, measuring the same height as rune tail, with pure white fur*
I am currently known as moon eyes, best described the other half of rune tail's soul. our two souls were somehow bonded into this single body. when we were younger, our body would take the shape and gender of the dominant "self", though now we have a much greater control over it, and the spiritual boundries between the two forms is near-nonexistant, allowing us both to controll either form, with the other a dormant spectator or in a state of trance. I still prefer this form, and rune tail prefers his masculine form, which is why you haven't heard from me before now. anyways, I felt I should make an appearance on such a momentous occasion, especially seeing as this is as much my celebration as it is his. suggestions for either of our new names would be appreciated. I think I will stay for a while, though.
he appears a moment before kitsune makes his speech. he his shocked but this revelations and at the same time touched. runetail and moon eyes were on equal footing with each other. they did not fight they coexists. it was beautiful.

and coexistance is kind of required when one body shares two souls, even if the body can shift to acomidate the dominant soul. What we didn't expect in our younger years, though, is that we would grow so close. it certainly leads to an interesting life when your soul mate litterally is your other half.
anyways, any ideas for our new names? rune tail was thinking of possibly taking up the name xeno, though I say it sounds a bit dark. I myself was consiering sophilia, but it's a bit long, and it doesn't have that mysterious ring we both are so fond of.
Hello there, tait-fox. it would seem you didn't catch my entire announcement. as you can see *glances down at chest* I am no longer a "he". the short of it is that I and rune tail (the one you likely refer to as kitsune), are two seperate souls that inhabit the same body. the body itself has a male and female form, and in our youth we were limited to controlling the form that matched our intended gender, with the body switching forms when one of us took over. these days, we just do it for comfort and to prevent confusion. anyways, we are both looking for ideas for our new names, as part of the celebration of our tenth tail.

Hearing the call, the cougar moves to the edge of the woods, peering over a log at Kitsune. He sits mesmerized, first by the glowiness, then by the female kitsune.
"Well now that's bizarre."
"And yet completely normal for this place..." The CameraBot watches the proceedings from beside the cougar. "Not sure I get the deal with the new name, though."
The cougar ponders for a moment, getting one of his stupid-idea-that-I'm-going-to-say-anyways looks. "We should call him, 'The Lord of Gender-Bending!'"
"No, we've only seen him do it once, he's got a lot of competition for that."
"Frightening, but true... How about 'Master of Shiny Sparkly Glowy Things?'"
"Now that makes sense. Long, but accurate. Maybe if it could be turned into an acronym..."
The cougar looks back at the female kitsune, tilting his head. "Is it wrong to think she's hot?"
The CameraBot tilts back and forth a few times in silence, and one could almost hear gears clicking and grinding to a halt. "Er, well... It's a female... Or is it? Isn't it? She's normally a male, I think... I don't... It's..." The machine goes silent for a moment again, and then falls to the ground as a few sparks shoot out from it.
One could tell by the cougar's grin that he was most pleased with his ability to overwhelm logic and make even a machine's head hurt. He leaps over the log, returning to the center of the party.
that is one confused robot. the sparks are a bit of a fire hazard, though, so I suppose I should go and fix this...

I don't think I ever caught your name, cougar person. but to answer your question, I don't think it would be at all out of place to consider me hot, considering that this is not a normal case of gender shifting, where you would have a man's soul in a woman's body, so much as a body that adapted itself to having both a masculine and feminine soul residing in it :mowsmile. Although it did make for the ocasional akward moment when we were younger and didn't have as much control determining which soul was in the body's pilot seat, so to speak.
The cougar sits and listens to the explanation. He ponders over the concept for several moments, before deciding against thinking too deeply about it; lest he end up like the CameraBot.

e well understood the concept of multiple beings in one body. he had since the dark energy incident(mega-man 8 and 9). Not count a 10,000 year paradox he had been living with at least two for that past year. What was special about kitsune case was that there was not struggle for dominance there lived in past year. As he watches kitsune talk with the cougar he feeling information on the cougar bubble in his brain he ignores it lest her start another war for dominance. guys when this is over do you think where and try to learn to live in piece? there was no response as he was in control right now sit he wished that they did not have to fight when the meet. Erebus awakened by the overload of dark energy. was the only one that spoke to him at any give time and her was silent now

The cougar once again pulls out his computer that seems to always be there when needed, struggling with pushing a few buttons with his paw. After a brief flash of light, he is once again in anthro form. He stretches a bit, and cracks a few joints.
"There we go. Feels like I'm forgetting something, though..." CDM ponders a bit, then looks down. "Oh, right."
He jumps into the magic pants box, and, after a few failed attempts involving leather, bell-bottoms, and a skirt, eventually regains his fine cotton gi pants.
hmm... I think I have a few ideas for names, now. I rather like the style of my current name, so I though a bit about a similarly structured name. I want to keep the prefix name moon, and I think a prefix name of star for rune tail's new name would be splended. based on that, I've come up with moonfur for myself and starfur for rune tail. I am not yet certain if these will be our final names, but it is a beginning. if it sparks any ideas for other names, feel free to suggest them.

anyways, I believe myself and rune tail have come to an agreement on our new names. our kind usually has the naming ceremony shortly after sunfall. Of course, day and night don't flow in the usual sense here, so sunfall is more or less when I want it to be. *summons a small round stone table and some ornate cushions* go ahead and take a seat, and we'll begin once everyone's here. sooner if I think some people are going to be no-shows. afterwards, we'll have a bit of nighttime, which is a real beauty around here.

"Odd, that's usually what happens when I push a button." He walks over to the CameraBot and whacks it until it's working again. He places the machine on a tripod for it to record the event.
The cougar anthro then sits down at the table, and promptly begins carving into the side with a diamond file, much like what kids will do to desks when they're bored in school; only, more artsy and elaborate.
"I say just 'Moonfur' and 'Starfur' lack that majestic (or perhaps 60's-esque) ring. You need something far-out, man, like 'Stargazer!' ... Or not..."
I agree. I just decided I wanted the names to be a surprise. I hope the others arrive soon.

Alright. looks like we're ready to begin.
[moon eyes scatters a few globes of light around the area for illumination, revealing that the table has shallow runes carved into it, seperated into two identical sets across from eachother. a glowing sphere surounds moon eyes, and as it grows brighter, it splits into two. one takes the form of moon eyes, while the other takes the form of rune tail, with small threads of light connecting the two at the head, feet, hands, and heart]
for some very complicated reasons, we can't stay in this form for more than an hour. but this won't take anywhere near that long.
[each summons a large scroll and two curved daggers, each with runes carved into the blade. they set the daggers on the table and the scrolls to lean against the side]

we gather here beneath the moon on this night to witness the naming of the new tail, and to celebrate the new paths that have opened to us, the kitsune of the diamond night. we have gained a tenth tail, and with it new power. new responsibility. a new life. let the naming begin.
rune tail: with nine tails, I was known as rune tail, a wise master of the arts of spellcasting
moon eyes: with nine tails, I was known as moon eyes, who's gaze could pierce the darkest of nights and see truth.
these names will forever remain a part of us, but now we take on a new name to recognize our new beginnings.
[with these words, they pick up the daggers and make a small slash into their thumbs. using these thumbs, they fill the runes carved into the table. as the runes are filled, they begin to glow. once finished, they unroll the scrolls and place them over the glowing runes of the table. as the glow permiates the scrolls, names appear written in an ancient kitsune language]
rune tail:with friends, family, and the stars as witness, I take the name Sunheart.
moon eyes: with friends, family, and the stars as witness, I take the name Moonsoul.
true to our new names, we will do everything in our power to bring light where there is only darkness. peace where there is only chaos. truth and justice to those overtaken by corruption. let us shine as our namesakes do, with the fiaery passion of the sun coupled with the serene grace of the moonlight.
[at the end of each scroll, they place their new names, again in the kitsune language of their clan. as a final note and a gesture of their bond, they then touch thumbs, mixxing the blood, and smear a small streak above the right eye. the light fades from the runes, and all of the blood-ink on the scrolls disapears. the line painted on each of their faces remains. they clasp hands, and are surrounded by a single sphere of light. as it fades, it reveals Moonsoul]

however, I feel I must point out that entropy is not darkness taking over light. it is the time when all things are brought into perfect balance. light and darkness, which have waged war against each other from times ageless and immemorial, are finally able to coexist. it is only because your universe has more darkness than light that you see this as darkness overtaking light entirely.
but enough of that. *unsummons the table and the scrolls*
*gathers some wood, and makes a ring of stones around it, then with a small spark from her hand, starts a campfire*
smores and campfire stories, everyone! *summons a small table with a seemingly limitless supply of grahm crackers, marshmellows, and chocolate, as well as several plates and long forks for roasting the marshmellows*
*grabs a plate, a fork, and enough for five smores*
The cougar anthro sits, staring with his head tilted slightly, mesmerized by the ritual. Upon completion, he snaps out of it; he grins widely and gives a thumbs-up.
"Sweeeet! And you can use 'Master of Shiny Sparkly Glowy Things' as your title."
His ears twitch around as he detects the presence of the newcomer. He resists the urge to poke it... for now.
"Nuh-uh, light wins! It has to. You can't have shiny sparkly glowy things without light, ya know, and those are an integral part of the universe." He nods satisfiedly as though he has just imparted some divine wisdom upon heathens. He skips around the fire a few times, softly chanting something about "fire" and "burny," before grabbing one of the large forks and pondering how to overcomplicate something with only three ingredients.
I like doodleing on marshmellows to make them look like a face
it has taken some time but e has finally deiced what to give the kitsune. he vanishes form their reality for Nealy 2 minutes as the runs fast and works hard to acquire the desire item. he returns with a uchiha fan that has been infused with with powers not unlike the bonsai fan that Roshi sama used to posses. it abilities allow it to control and enhance fire or snuff it out at need.. "here you are kitsune. happy ascension. i'm sorry it to so long to retrieve but time travel is not a strong suite of mine."

at some point and time even the darkness fads ore is consumed. take it form one who has bee around since before the formation oh the place you call the universe. it is true. entropy is not darkness itself but the consumption of all including the darkness that it hinds in.
After watching E, CDM finally realizes that he forgot to get Sunheart/Moonsoul a gift. He ponders for a long while, trying to think of what to give the Master of Shiny Sparkly Glowy Things. Stygian's words eventually give him an idea, and he pulls out his handheld computer again while he speaks.
"Your universe sounds very... dark-ish. Have you tried adjusting the brightness, or maybe using Invert?" He hits a few buttons and pokes at the holographic screen a few times, his mind temporarily absent from reality. Somewhere in the back of his mind he is quite content with causing confusion.
"Of course, if you want to get really technical, one could note that darkness and light can not exist without each other; for, without light, one would not be able to define darkness, and vice-versa."
He sets his computer down, allowing it to work out complex trans-dimensional equations that embody the very spirit of "overcomplicated," most of which do nothing but send commands to a computer back in his universe. A gift of this type would require machined accuracy. Grabbing a marshmallow, he puts it on the fork and holds it above the fire at just the right point for it to get warm, but not melty. Not melty is very important.

Twenty foot of white dragon lands as delicately as something that size can next to the fire. "Hey guys, when you're playing hide and seek you're supposed to find EVERYONE before you quit. I can't believe you left me out there." Seeing the smore fixings she sticks out her tongue and piles several crackers, the chocolate, and marshmallows on it. She blows a tiny puff of flame as she swallows. "Instant smores," Mel laughs.

CDM ponders over Stygian's situation some more, wondering how people could see without light. He snickers as he envisions someone trying to get to the bathroom at night, and tripping down the stairs.
"Well then..." He tries to think of something comforting or at least tactful to say, and fails completely. "That sucks. We have no shortage of light in my universe. Er..."
He freezes and blinks, giving a look almost like he forgot to turn the stove off. Fortunately, an alert from his computer implies that his universe is at least mostly holding together without him there. "You've got trans-dimensional metaphysical pseudo-data mail!" the computer chirps.
"That was fast, someone must be awake back at base. And wondering what the heck I'm doing, no doubt."
The cougar anthro pushes a couple buttons, creating a small greenish swirling portal in the air. He reaches into it without hesitation, pulling out some kind of faceted glass ball about a foot in diameter. The light from the fire alone causes it to glow inside, and cast specks of light everywhere. He presents it to Moonsoul.
"A crystal prism ball, for the Master of Shiny Sparkly Glowy Things. It doesn't have any enchantments, and it doesn't really do anything special, but it is pretty."
Okay my marshmellow caught fire and now its screaming at me....Either i need sleep or I am seriously doped on caffeines

From a point in space just behind CDM a small point of light flashes into existence and grows wider until it reaches the form of a human male arounf the age of 24 sitting on the iron bars of a metallic dancing video game.
"Hey, I'm supposed to be furry here, right?" The young man's green pupilless eyes shine brightly as he takes a stance on the dancing machine and quickly recites a series of directions and matches them on the screen. "Up, down, down, down, left, left, left, right, up, down and SPLITS!"
A bright flash emanted from the machine and when it died down the young man was now an anthro coyotes, still dressed in his red shirt, jean shorts and roman sandals. The screen of the machine displayed a familiar blue robotic video game character and the running text of "YOU GOT: Coyote Form!"
"Hi." The coyote waved, "I'm Perfection. Oh! Marshmellows!"

He stares and blinks, unsure of whether to be more afraid of Stygian or Moonsoul's grin. He's snapped out of it by a long string of expletives from the CameraBot. He looks upwards and backwards, recognizing a familiar face; or familiar insanity, at least. He looks back at those around the campfire.

As soon as Perfection heard CDM's voice he did three things. First he jumped up and clapped his hands in excitement and second he fabricated his own bag of Ultra Jumbo Marshmallows, each marshmallow being the size of a Swedish Meatball, and offered one to everyone. Then he sat next to CDM or rather leviated in the Indian Style sitting position.
"Dig in, they hatch after an hour if you don't eat them and they attract Chybee."
The cougar anthro gets lost in thought for a moment, talking to himself while making hand motions and staring into space.
"Right, right, right, down, down, down... No, that'd be Butterfly... Left, left, left, splits, down, down, down is Speed Over Beethoven..."
He looks over at Stygian. "I don't know if it's really possible to 'know' him... Maybe get used to him, kind of..." He impales the giant marshmallow on his fork, holding it exactly 33.809 centimeters above the hotest part of the fire.

As Perfection finally took notice of Stygian he gave the man a wave and a smile so completely devoid of intelligence it should have absorbed all intelligence in place, but as it was that was not phsyicaly positive thanks to a new and unseen guest.
"Did you know you have a tail..." He looked at CDM. "He has a tail..."
"So do you..." A very annoyed voice said as the shimmering form of a green robed ghost appeared. "Forgive the intrusion and lack of furry body, but I just don't go that way. However if you insist I will take a more... primal form."
"WRAITH!" Perfection suddenly pounced on the green ghost and slammed him into the ground while laughing manically. "FRIEND IS HERE!"
"You have a tail you know." Wraith growled.
"I do?" Perfection asked obliviously as his tail plopped around and grabbed his perhiphreal vision. "I DO!" He promptly jumped off of Wraith and his tail seperated from his body, he of course chased his detached tail like a madman.
"He..." Wraith gestured towards Perfection. "However, kills brain cells with out a proper translator." The ghost sat back and away from the fire so he would not burn his robes, which were all that made him visible.

"And it seems I hold the award for fastest transformation sequence!" He bobs up and down, humming "Dancing Pompokolin."
Wraith's bright cyan eyes watched the group carefully and when the man named Stygian mentiond the DDR station he almost lashed out with a stilleto the the game's screen, thankfully though he was just introducing himself and pondering aloud. Wraith merely acknolwedged Stygian's hand with a nod of his head.
"I don't shake hands." Wraith said cooly. "No offense, it's just odd forming a corporeal and visible hand even for a spectre of my power."
It was at this moment that Perfection ran straight into the DDR machine and knocked himself unconcious. Which seemingly produced a smile like look to Wraith's eyes. Then he heard CDM's evil laughter.
"You better not be plotting something evil against me or I'll wake Perfection and have him summon Chybee." Wraith eyed his friend dangerously.

We call ourselves Scions, we inherited the powers and representations from a race comprised of space and time energy. I am the Scion of Death and Perfection is the Scion of Chaos. We technicaly don't exist in any space/time continuum, but we are all fully capable of placing ourselves in specific universe at any specific time and we can adapt or change our position at will." Wraith looked over at the now snoring Perfection. "Note that chaos is not evil, just completely and entirely unpredictable."
With the last owrds spoken Perfection popped up like he had just finished a nightmare. "DON'T LET THE PANDAS GET ME!"

"There's no werewolves in the forest, right? And more importantly, no zombies? I do hate zombies." He looks over at the others, then back. "Do you need a body guard?"
He gets up to follow the kitsune, more so he'd feel safe himself than anything else. Perfection was frightening always, but he had a feeling that Stygian and Wraith together might cause something very bad to happen, for any number of reasons. He thinks to himself, "First rule of dimensional travel is to stay close to the most powerful native..."

c'mon, cdm. I've had a bit of experience with dimensionally complex beings. though you may want to shift to your cougar form. I don't think humanoid forms are going to have a very easy time where I'm going.

CDM walks quickly to catch up to the kitsune. In a familiar flash of light, he changes into full animal form without breaking pace. The prospect of any place difficult for anthros was unnerving, but not as much as the potential interactions between Creepy and Death with some Chaos tossed in.
heh. don't worry. it's just that the cave entrance is a bit small for humanoids taller than a munchkin. 'sides, we can get there a lot quicker this way.

CDM follows the kitsune through the forest. He looks back towards camp, sensing a dark energy, but decides against turning back.

Meanwhile, the CameraBot speaks to Stygian in a somewhat annoyed, arrogant tone.
"You know, there are about a hundred easier, nicer ways to get someone out of a tree. And those don't even involve fire, explosions, or any other use of DM."

there's the cave ahead. give me a minute to make sure everything's in order...

[the cave walls are covered in some sort of crystal give off a pleasant mix of soft light of pastel greens and blues, seemingly on their own. the floor is smooth and bare, and though it is hard, it is quite comfortable. a ramp leads up to another exit onto a ledge that always faces the rising moon]
*suddenly, something small and furry drops onto cdm's head*
e stops mid air. he had been chase Mel for a while but he did seem any closer to catching her. whats more this flying would tire his out before too long if he didn't stop and rest for at least a moment. "how is she going that?" he wonders out loud.
"Shinyglow!" CDM gazes in awe at the crystals. He pads through the cave, looking all around.
Upon feeling something land on his head, he yelps and panics, running around frantically.
"Help! It's got me! What is it? Is it a zombie?! A zombie's got me! HELP!"
hahaha!
that's not a zombie, silly. now slow down so he can jump off.
*a few minutes later*
this is nim. he's a squirrelfox, with a little bit of kitsune for longevity.
[nim is roughly the size of a squirrel, with a similar body and a long swishy tail. he has a fox-like head and relatively large ears]
he loves doing that to new people here. I'm actually kinda surprised he didn't land on someone's head earlier. he's actually fairly smart, and he's got some sort of empath connection with me. kinda like your camerabot, except instead of floating behind me and torturing people he rides on my shoulder and lands on people's heads. the best part is he's as ageless as I am. and he's cute.

The cougar pants, out of breath from panicking. He pokes at the squirrelfox a couple times, tilting his head.
"That's even more bizarre than the chi-yote back at base... But he is cute." He jumps a bit when his computer starts beeping loudly. He looks at the holographic screen and pushes a button to make it stop, ignoring an assistance request from the CameraBot. "I swear, the smaller the form, the more trouble he gets into..."
Back at the site of the fire, the CameraBot looks around for Stygian, and runs a self-analysis. With calm precision, it changes position and heading, hovering in the air. In an instant, the several hundred other CameraBots present, AI's that had been running basic record-and-reconnaissance programs, drop their cloaks, creating a very large formation in the darkness behind their TI lead.

The darkness swirling around Stygian catches the cougar's attention. He growls and leaps to defend Zedd, forgetting for a moment that he has no real method of attack, or much else for that matter, in full-animal form.

*suddenly, stygian feels a tickling on his back, and a few seconds later he finds himself in a white area with a floor that seems to stretch forever. Moonsoul appears in front oh him in anthro form with her eyes the tips of her fur radiating cyan light. she is obviously angry*

I've only got the two of them. one for me, one for Sunheart. see how the fur colors match? of course, they both ended up being shared, since neither one has taken a preference for one of us. anyways, they're common in a forest not to far from here.
The cougar perks his ears up and tilts his head, sensing the tension. He shrugs it off and chases one of the squirrelfoxes playfully.
"Hmm... Do you think they'd be able to avoid being harmed by a cat? Specifically, a cat that is the incarnation of all that is evil? I'd hate to catch some and bring them back to base if that'd be putting them in danger."
depends. as long as they have some sort of energy source they can tap into every now an again to recharge, they change the composition of their skin to steel or rubber. usually they get it from the ambient magic here, but they could just as easily drain a bit from an electrical outlet or something like that. so I guess the answer is yes, they'd be just fine.
*shakes his head at Stygia*

Stygian's face turned sour at the kitsune's words. He lit another smoke, then fished out the Navigator from his pocket and turned a single dial, and then pressed down on the same button as before.
"It was obviously a mistake of us to come here. And since you seem to dominate this place... We're going to leave for where your influence is void,"[/color] he said, his voice once again turning to a slithering, echoing growl as he slowly shifted back into his true, dark form, wings unfurling behind him. While he spoke, Moonsoul felt something like a sharp stab at the space where he stood, something ripping asunder existence behind him. He cast a sideway glance to Zedd.
"Wir entschuldigen uns für jede Unannehmlichkeit, cubi. Here's to your health," he said, and fished out a bottle and a package of fine dark chocolate from somewhere. "Best of wishes." He then seemed to... merge with the darkness of the portal behind him. Within seconds his glowing eyes were all that were discernable of him, and then even those vanished. CDM glares as Stygian disappears into the darkness, but quickly reverts to his happy, playful, brain-on-vacation personality when the ordeal is over. As he turns away a hail of laser fire comes from the darkness, assaulting the spot where Stygian was standing just a moment before. Their intended target suddenly missing, the weapon fire strikes the crystalline walls of the cave and gets reflected and refracted as harmless red light, momentarily creating various rainbow effects with the already-present greens and blues.
"Dooood... Pretty!" The cougar claps his paws joyfully. "Do it again, do it again!"
The "lead" CameraBot flies down into the cave, looking around frantically.
"Dammit! I missed him? Where did he go?!"
"He go some place far, far away." CDM makes odd motions with his paws.
"Well let's go after him! He attempted to deface Imperial property!"
"Mmmm... no. I'm on vacation, and I still want to get one of those squirrelfoxes." CDM brushes the cigarette ashes off the CameraBot, and cleans off the lens. "I have a feeling we'll meet him again. You can beat him up when you're bigger."

e suddenly appears next to kitsune his eyes dark with age and and something else. "there is something is out of place here kitsune" E's expression suddenly changes and he pouts. "i can't seems to catch up with Mel. is she using some kind of illusion on me? is that fair? "

Mel landed on the peak of the mountain that defined the far end of the valley. She looked around and decided that it was the best place to watch the sun rise when it came. She folded her wings and settled in to wait.
e sihsa wondering how Mel had managed to eluded him at the speeds that he had been flying at.
not exactly sure, e. c'mon, though. I think she found an even better spot to watch the comet, and then sunrise in a little bit.
*grabs e's arm and does a quick teleport in to where mel has settled*
hey, mel. if you look a little to your right, you'll see the comet. hasn't been named yet, since I've only known about it for a few months, and I didn't really have anything to name it for.

you know, I never did figure out why it's green, or why it's tail is split like that. musta been the mark the last guardian of this valley left before they handed the job down.
CDM jumps off his flying raft of CameraBots, causing several of them to spin out and crash randomly from the weight offset. He looks towards the sky in awe.
"Whoa... it's like a... a... a big glowy streaky thing!" He nods sagely at his acute assessment.
It could be a guardian spirit....But i have an odd feeling a familiar presence...I have not felt...since....
*admires the beauty of the comet, looks around, decides it safe to enter his "tapped" form, and blasts away into the night sky, hoping to catch up to the comet*
e shivered as he watches. that glow it was a kind of life fore he was almost certain of it. he touched the comet with his mind and sees with int it images of places that it has been and he also retrieves a some of it's energy which starts to flicker in his minds eye. it would be months if not years before he truly understood it but for now. he holds up his had but he doe not summon the energy yet. that would be pointless. it would take him some time to convert power into it. still there was something he had to say. "i think that comet is alive moonsoul"

CDM switches back to anthro form for efficiency reasons, and opens up the portal to his pocket dimension again. From it he pulls a camera and a very large camera bag. With the pull of a rip-cord, a series of nearly a dozen filters and lenses of increasing zoom power spring from the bag and spin in midair, as CDM moves the camera in just the right way for the lenses to screw on automatically. Manually adding a lens bigger than his head completes the Freudian optical masterpiece. Placing the monstrosity on a couple tripods, he sits down and begins using his camera as a very high powered telescope.
"How much general power would you say is in and around that comet..."
sorry lets she how do i explain this. alter is the ability to reshape a past of the world using you spiritual power so to speak. i remember six alter users that i meet clearly and their were something Else. alter it part spirit power. part alchemy part will.. it truly was an interesting world to visited but while i was there i came getting scryed upon. still here is a text (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/S-CRY-ed) of what i learned in that world version of japan

not completley sure if the idea of alter power carries over here. but then, I never did like getting too involved in the details of how that stuff works. I think what we have in my world is a combination of the force, chi, and chakra, with some ambient mana.

not good i remember that Earth lost it's dinosaurs when it's second sun blues destruction a seared lesser planets Turing turns many of them into moons. Earth was only winged and thus spared total destruction but it was a massive extinction event afterwards.

sorry memories form a long time ago. it was not the live of the second sun that was a problems it was that it's death was a violent one. it was torn apter level by level in a series on nova explosions.. that should not happen her though. i prey that it does not. building a solar system is a delicate balancing act you know.
CDM stares at the twin suns for a few moments before eventually realizing that he should not be staring into any kind of sun. He fiddles with his various dimension-warping technologies, enabling him to utilize the pair of sunglasses normally worn exclusively by his human form.
"Trippy..."
He looks around all shifty-eyed, then hits the shutter button on his camera-telescope. While everyone is watching the sunrise, the image of the comet flickers for a moment and returns to normal. CDM removes a glowing crystal about the size and shape of a memory card from his camera, and examines it.
"Oh yeah, that alone makes the trip worth semi-canonizing..."

for a reason that e can not explain he feels tired. so very tired. it is a weariness of the spirit not of the body. "Kitesune... i mean Moonsoul i'm going to sleep fora bit. i need the rest." with that said E's body seems to melt into darkness and vanish. on the valley floor a ball appears on a green pillow. it this the color of the night sky and seems to pulse slightly

I think that comet is actually another soul jewel, and something's gone wrong with it. if we don't figure out what's going on, and fast. tophar, you're with me. *pulls out a small vial* the rest of you, get e's soul jewel and get back to the cave. It should afford some protection if reality starts getting lopsided. once you get there, pour one this on the soul jewel and it should get e back to his humanoid state, though he'll be weak and will probably need normal rest.

E's concreted form pulsed as he relived realities that were or might have been. He was not sure anymore as so much of his life have been obscured in paradoxes and time travel misshapes he remember when he fount for the first time a stable world that he recognized and the disaster that befalls it as the antimatter wave sweeps it clear. He had travel many places but still he longs. There was one place that he wised to visit above all the rest. The place he had not been since his ego awaked his power. It seemed so long ago since he had been to that place that he is not longer sure that he can; even see it in his dreams. That was the place he once called home
CDM whistles and looks around nervously, hoping he didn't upset the comet in some way. He looks towards the sky and thinks about offering his assistance, but decides that unleashing waves of destruction in someone else's universe would be impolite. There was no way to be sure that mindless obliteration would actually be a solution anyways.
He calmly puts most of his camera gear away, leaving the digital camera with a lens and filter attached; that would probably be his most potent method of both offense and defense at the moment. Walking back to the cave, he checks his pocket. Feeling several small cylinders gives him a further sense of security.

I think with my new power I can get through the barrier surounding the comet/soul jewel. once we're in, we find out what's going on and if we can, we fix it. I don't think what cdm did is the reason. I knew he was going to take that "picture", so I made sure the camera thingy was on copy. which reminds me.

He loads an "empty" memory crystal into his camera and switches it to its normal energy-draining "magic demon box" mode. Excluding perhaps something moving very quickly towards or away from him, no threat would likely get far enough to be a threat.
"The heroes of the day..." CDM looks back towards the sky, smiling and chuckling a bit. "I wonder how long I can manage to stay on vacation."
*follows alongside Kitsune*

long story short the comet, or more specifically a soul jewel of someone who is quite strong, has started giving off a type of energy that's messing with reality. we need to find out what is causing it and hopefully fix it.

dune dancer: I'm not quite sure myself. as you can see, this is only an astral projection, and I am still in the soul jewel overall. I only knew to do this because I felt your unique presense. though what I do know points to it coming from an asteroid over there.
moonsoul: but why did I feel like it was coming from your soul gem
dune dancer: I've been trying to absorb and convert what I can. that's where the second and third sun came from. I used, but there's been some overflow. anyways, I would join you and your friend on this adventure, but I fear this final act of protection has left me too weak to return to my true form.
moonsoul: don't worry. we'll find out what's going on, and when we fix it we'll come back and I can get you back to your real form. c'mon toph! *takes off in the direction of the asteroid
*shoots off the comet toward the asteroid, following Moon Soul. As he soars he recollects all the events that seemed to have slurred by*
The cougar anthro sits down and closes his eyes. Meditating, he extends his mind's eye, viewing the current scene and beyond with clairvoyance. The original CameraBot appears from behind him, sounding disappointed.
"I do wish you wouldn't do that, you're going to put us out of a job."
CDM ignores the CameraBot and regains his concentration, an intent look on his face.
"So that's the protector of this universe. I wonder how big a boom he can make."
"Some how I doubt he's as destructive as you. Or as violent. Or as insane." The CameraBot looks towards the comet, an instinctive and almost human action made unnecessary by the visual input from other CameraBots closer to the action.
"This is true. But I bet I look better in shades."
"Fair enough, fair enough..."
This is what I get for not paying attention to this section of the forum.
By admin decision, this lounge is closed.
1) It duplicates another thread that already exists, basically. Seriously, you don't need that many OT character lounges in one section.
2) It's exclusionary. As few human characters as there may be round here, they are not allowed to be barred from any topic simply because they're human.
And yes, by this thread being closed, that mean you cannot start another one to spite us.
Per request of a member of this RP group, the decision was discussed further amoung ALL of the admins (rather than the "most" we had previously). The decision to keep this thread closed has stood.
However, I will be PMing Kitsune to discuss this thread, and what will happen next with it and the storyline from it.
