Whoa! That was already? I can totally understand the fatigue at a wedding (and I wasn't even the one married, but helped out). I'd probably be the one who passes out at my own reception and get "Just married" marked on my forehead with permanant ink...
Anyways, congrats! Finish wedding type stuff, sleep lots, and enjoy the moment!
Congrats Amber on you finding your lifemate...

Whatever you name it, avoid all character names you know of, especially video game character names. There's just something wrong about naming your kid Sephiroth.
Hay... why not go with the Classics and name your first born (boy) Dan or (gal) Mab.
And name your second born (boy) Able or (girl) Alexsi
I wanna name my kiddies (boy) Conan or (girl) Xena
Oh and in the comic... Fluffy was evil about that line. I know that women sometimes pride themselves in their 'built in airbags' (which reminds me of a news report where this lady survived a crash, that would have killed anyone else, by her large breast implants :mwaha).

Anyway, what's all this talk of baby names...?
I mean, it's not like Amber's 8 months pregnant just 'cause she got married over the weekend.

Please don't name your kids after your comic characters... almost as bad a sephiroth... especially since you KNOW their going to end up reading the comic. Just like you can expect kids to go through their parent's high school yearbooks.

I tend to think insane thoughts all the time, that was one of them
I bet no one would mess with Seph if he pulled out a Marimasa (I think that's the name for that really long katana like sword).
It's Masamune. The name comes from a legendary swordsmith in japanese mythology, whose swords were regarded as having a legendary quality and beauty, and who perfected the art of arranging martensitic crystalline structure in metal. It is debated of just when Masamune lived (he was a real historical figure), but general opinion is somewhere in the early 14th century.
Comgratulations, Amber! May your marriage last a thousand years, and feel like one (instead of vice versa :zombiekun2 )!

Stygian puts on a serious face, walks up to Madmann, then pulls out a large, living trout hidden up the sleeve of the pervy-looking coat he is conveniently wearing, and slaps him squarely across the face with it a couple of times. He then somehow whisks the scaled critter away and scowls at Madmann. No matter how truthful that may or may not be, you do
not say such things out loud! She can
hear you, helldamnit!
Stygian then does the familiar 4th wall stare.Allow me to congratulate, and express my well-wishings.
I'm a weird guy and I said what I said because of this.
-Women are very cleaver, ingenious and find ways to influence their husband's actions, sometimes greatly influence said actions even when the husband doesn't think it's happening.
-Men are not very observive yet Women tend to see things diffrently and more completely than men.
-Men are more mathematical and mechanical while women are more along the social and artistic.
-Men are more prone to simple acts while women are more prone to complex acts
It is difficult for a man to win in a verbal arguement with a woman unless the guy has the absolute advantage.
In short Men are at a distinct disadvantage in marrage.
So marrage wise Men are at a disadvantage over women.
-It's easy for a guy to go off and fix a toster, it's hard for a guy to get help fixing a relationship.
-It's easy for a guy to do something dangerous and childish (half the fun of being a guy) while it's difficult for us to truely grow up.
-Men tend to not talk about emotions nor truely express them, women find it much easier.
In short Men are simple creatures while Women are complex.
Stygian... I do not respond well to RP acts while in chat. If this was a chat based RP then that would be diffrent. I'm straightfoward and direct.
The last thing that I'm going to close with is this.
Congrats Amber. I hope your marrage is a great one.
congratulations amber.

To Madmann135: It's an expressive and more artistic style of writing which I do in fact enjoy, scold me however much you want for it.
As for the complexity of women, I agree with you in general. Had I not seen so many bad examples of women who are not generally clever, but beleive themselves to be and refuse to see things any way but the way they want them to be, I might even have found it completely true.
The key to "winning" an argument against a "superior" opponent, whether intellectually or rhetorically, is to reveal as little as possible in way of emotion or reaction, to say precisely what you need to say and nothing more, and to never expect to actually win, seeing as how that is an impossibility. In the case of women this works for two reasons; firstly, you don't give them emotions to go on, and secondly you stay distant, which means you are never agressive nor defensive, leaving you kind of outside the argumentation. This is good, since she might tire herself out or realize that what she is saying makes no sense or such, or go silent and turn inwards, or lose trace. In each case, it gives both her and you time to think, something I find most precious.
I've gotten a lot of practice doing this with my parents, especially my father, and I can say it generally works. But it's far from perfect, and I wouldn't recommend it for the insecure or for those who can't hold their temper.
congradulations, Amber! don't torture him too much ;)

It is difficult for a man to win in a verbal arguement with a woman unless the guy has the absolute advantage.
It should be noted here that simply "being right" is not an advantage. Having the truth, a dictionary, an encyclopedia, four eye-witnesses, a video recording, and nine Supreme Court Judges on your side will not help you. The only way a male can ever win an argument with a female is if she
wants to lose.
I vote for pictures as well!
*notices the news banner* Does that keep changing?
When you argue with someone you love, it winning and losing become unimportant. It's making the other person happy that becomes the true goal.
In other words, you will ALWAYS lose. And even if you win you LOSE.
Just my two cents.
Congratulations Amber!
May both your souls be intertwined in love and bliss for all eternity.

Didn't I read "Panyko-Williams" back during the wedding announcement? Well, all three options (her last name, his last name, the combination) sound just fine to me.
Congrats to both of you, and sheesh, take the week off or something! Getting married is something special, and nobody will mind a short hiatus because of that. When I read the news blurb, I felt reminded of this strip (http://sabrina-online.com/strips/SO_sm39.GIF) ;)
I was never a believer of marriage, given that either the meaning of marriage is not to do with love, or that said meaning of love got lost over time. One shouldn't need an arbitrary ceremony to show as proof of love and mateship, after all, one generally should already be in love anyway before said ceremony. Even so, I hope your marriage will remain happy and fruitful, though take your time on that second point if you want. :3
Anyway, I think there should be less rushing of baby-naming (even if it's fun) and more of marriage gifts. The one problem of you announcing this to us at the last minute is that many of us won't have gifts ready. :U (thinking more of drawings than actual bought gifts, because it shows more effort put in, and is cheaper so you won't go too guilt-prone)

Here is a quick guide about the other sex. Essential for any couple.
Quote from: FluffyMONEY
A man will pay £2 for a £1 item he needs.
A woman will pay £1 for a £2 item that she doesn't need but it's on sale.
BATHROOMS
A man has six items in his bathroom: toothbrush and toothpaste, shaving
cream, razor, a bar of soap, and a towel from Myers.
The average number of items in the typical woman's bathroom is 337.
A man would not be able to identify most of these items.
ARGUMENTS
A woman has the last word in any argument.
Anything a man says after that is the beginning of a new argument.
FUTURE
A woman worries about the future until she gets a husband. A man never
worries about the future until he gets a wife.
SUCCESS
A successful man is one who makes more money than his wife can spend. A
successful woman is one who can find such a man.
MARRIAGE
A woman marries a man expecting he will change, but he doesn't.
A man marries a woman expecting that she won't change and she does.
DRESSING UP
A woman will dress up to go shopping, water the plants, empty the bins,
answer the phone, read a book, and get the post.
A man will dress up for weddings and funerals.
OFFSPRING
Ah, children. A woman knows all about her children. She knows about dentist
appointments and romances, best friends, favourite foods, secret fears and
hopes and dreams.
A man is vaguely aware of some short people living in the house.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
Any married man should forget his mistakes. There's no use in two people
remembering the same thing.
Well, you survived your own wedding with enough sense to type a coherent statement or two. And from what I hear so far there was no fainting by either the bride or the groom. That's quite an accomplishment, good job. :megagroove
Congrats on your wedding, and good luck with the marriage! :mowmeep
Congratulations Amber! May you both be happy and healthy through all your years together!
Congratulations, Mrs. Amber! :mowhappy
I hope you will be very happy and not be overloaded with the comic. don't let us pressure you into doing more than you want to.
*baps everyone* and she needs to name her first born son Vincent Cloud you imbeciles!

Woot, congrats and best of luck to the happy couple :)

I know I already said Congrats, but I wanna give the Honored married couple a big hug. :hug
Good luck you two.
Congratualations Amber. Judging by his writings and assorted stuff on his website this Mason* dude seems like a great choice. Wit and humor are two qualities you both seem to have plenty of, and I think that is a great foundation for a fulfilling a sucessful life together. You guys have my and many many others' best wishes. Heres a virtual toast to Mr and Mrs Williams**.
*For whatever reason, yesterday I couldn't think of his name exactly even though I had seen it before. Mentally I kept seeing Logan, from Canada, which led to some interesting tangential thoughts *grin*.
**I don't actually know what naming conventions are being followed, so I'm just guessing here :)
Congrats.
Nothing will change and everything will be different.
Enjoy your life together.

People always say marrage is a 50:50 relationship... I hear it's a more like a 60:40 relationship with the woman leading it.
Just putting in my two cents. A marriage that is 50/50 is doomed to failure. A marriage needs to be 100/100, with both partners giving their best.
Best wishes Amber & Mason.
So saith the single dude.
~Tilendor
*does a bit of math* I get the odd feeling that Amber will be operating on an opposite sleep schedule from those people who have the pictures for the next... three days.
And Tilendor's right. Both people have to give it their all. Which kinda sucks, because one person can't hold it together on his or her own very long.

But Rule 5-C implies, actually even specifies, the use of a character other than one's self :. Thusly, actions performed as oneself do not involve playing a role, and therefore are not actually role-playing. It is perfectly possible to use textual actions while posting as oneself, thereby adhering to the rules.
Actions like this: *catches Bill on a technicality, kicks him in the shin, and flees*
*Charles is married to Charline! It's a 0-100 relationship. Charles is a slave to the evil cubi... but he's happy! So very happy! Must always think happy cuz she can read his mind! La la la la! *
*Charline snarls* Aren't you happy Charles? *threatens with wicked claws* :kruger
*Charles meeps and squeals* YesI'mveryhappymightygoddessCharline! :eek
*Alondro suspects Mab has had similar fantasies about her hubby... all women secretly want to have their mates as their obedient slaves.* And as a male, I'm positive that this is the truth. :3
It's been said before, but congratulations, and do have fun on your honeymoon.
It implys whatever we choose it to imply at any given time, Digital. ;)
It was a lovely ceremony. (Which is why there has been no Darkmoon and Damaris yelling at people this weekend)
It was actually a very nice trip- the Canadian border police were kind enough not to charge us duty tax on the dress (because we were transporting it), we ended up in a hooker's regular room at the hotel we were staying at, there was a very amusing moment when the best man got "ringbearer" and "pallbearer" confused, and the American border police are contemplating an invasion of Canada.
We're hoping to take our roll of film to be developed tomorrow, although the best laid plans can always go all wonky.
I suppose there isn't any need to repeat it, but I feel the need.
Congratulations to the both of you! :D

Ah, more insight into the decision to appoint new moderators. :bunny
Congratulations Amber and Mason!

Evil :c I'd like to point out to all the kiddies at home that arguing with a moderator is much the same as arguing with a female.
*won't even try arguing with a female moderator, feels lucky to still have the ability to post*
Normally I'd say something about using the dreaded film camera... but now that I think about it, that's probably best for a wedding. I know my digital camera has a long start-up time and horrific auto-focus. Just make sure to get the picture CD! We want any and all embarrassing moments documented forever! :dface

Yeah, well, I'm in the pretentious "last-name as first-name" camp.
Does that mean we should be calling you BucknerBill?
Congrats, Amber and Mason. I'd have been faster, but I was AFK...
Let's cut the confusion and just call him Luck Nibbler instead. It's the same letters.
Also... I think I'm a bit late, but... CONGRATULATION!!

Well said! Or even 120/120, with each being an inspiration to the other.
I forsee an era of much joy and much art. May the two of you overtake the popularity of the Foglios and the Pinis of this world.

Ack! My first response was "Are you
certain about that?" - But you
both beat me!

But nothing can be 100/100, because then it would be split 200%, which would mean double what they have and now you're asking 240% D:
50/50 means being equal, not each only giving half their effort >_>
spoilsport.
It simply means that both devote their life to the other and together with the other they can even exceed that. >:3~
WAH! I haven't posted MY congrats yet! Shame on me! :mowdizzy
So congrats and may you have a happy life, Amber. :mowhappy
This is quite a surprise to return to the forums to!
Best of wishes for you Amber.

Congrats Amber! :mowhappy
Congratulations Amber! We want looooooots of photos.
There's nothing to say that hasn't been said already. :mowdizzy
Congrats millions! We want pictures! Don't overload yourself! And the best of luck as always. x3
I just registered for the forum a couple days ago, so I guess I'll use my first post to say... congrats! Hope things work out well for you two :)
eeek! It's a newbie! Burn it! Burn it! :-)
Aww be nice to the newb..You'd scare it :giggle
Well... extraordinarily late and all, if I wasn't so busy I'd have said it sooner...
Congratulations!!!!
I would have loved to grab my boys and covered "White Wedding" if I had been there... >:3
Azlan, that's a song about a "shotgun" wedding! I'm pretty sure that isn't what happened here. I've attended one of those, but Amx and I had to sit in the back so we wouldn't interrupt the ceremony by laughing. :lol
Um, Yeah, I'm late... Welcome to the ranks of married people. From a 14-year vetran, with a Platoon of 2.5 extra units. (Well, The Kitten won't be born until December 4th!)
May your lives together be long, and relatively dull. I won't curse you two with an interesting life. O:)
You know, her hubby shares his nomenclature with the guy who wrote Classical Gas.
One last thought: Someone else has said to lay off about the kids. I agree, big time. Since we married on my 18th birthday, people assumed things that weren't true. It took about two years of people saying we looked so "happy", and glancing at Amx's midsection before people began to quit. About three years later, the question was asked more directly, and my answer ranged from "It's in the master plan for five years from now"(Polite) to "Never, Okay?" (Very Rude). Their sex life really is none of our business.

Hear, hear. Although I'm not one to talk - our first was at our wedding, and we had him christened at the same time, albeit somewhat late for him...

Congratulations to ye
Well, it seems Amber's WikiFur entry now says "Amber Williams" and not "Amber Panyko". I can take pride in the fact that I was the first to change her WikiFur entry to say something about the wedding, even if I DID forget to change her last name. Curses.
I hope you don't mind, but I fixed the date and the information on the hubby. I can't remember if he goes by his real name online, so I didn't add that.
