Completely Unrelated Cast

I was chatting to Mao earlier, about Borderlands (which I have on PC, and he has on Xbox, and never the twain shall meet) and waltzing about in there.

He expressed an interest in seeing me punch out Skagzilla.

So, at some point, possibly this evening (ie, in a couple hours) there will be a brief cast of Borderlands sillyness. I'll probably not be watching the chat, but will happily let folks make suggestions for suicidal things for me to attempt.

Like driving. (Just ask Spooks)

Watch this space. I'll drop a note here before I start up. Not that I've casted before, so there may be some teething troubles...

The game audio was good. The video was a just a touch choppy, but that could have been because i was trying to watch several different streams at the same time.

You were shooting and running over peoples and stuff, what was there not to like?

not sure I can do anything about the choppiness. It's probably related to how little spare power my laptop has to play the game and do other things, and, since it's a laptop, that kinda limits things.

I'd like to get a decent gaming computer, but they're expensive, and I've nowhere to actually put such a thing... :-/

There's an excerpt of the skagzilla brawl there now. I don't think anything else of note was done in the rest of the cast; even the Speedy McSpeederton achievement was a bit meh.

In idle interest, I considered setting up for a regular 2-3 hour cast of a friday evening, my time. In other words, about 10 or 11pm onwards, UK time, faffing about poorly in Borderlands.

Anyone interested in watching that sort of thing? I may even talk.

I would be interested in observing said faffing about poorly in Borderlands. That's generally my time to get dinner on and deal with KP duties (5-6 p.m. U.S. EST), but I should be able to catch some of it.

For Brady, I shall be casting in a half hour or so, off and on, to poke about with the settings and see iffn I can't make it more reliable. Also to test and see if folks can hear me talking, and to fiddle with the bits with that to make it happen as well.

There may or may not be some time spent fiddling with that.

It would appear that the sound is non-functional. You can hear me, you can't hear the game. I need to work on this, but everything I've tried so far has failed.

I do have a few more settings I can mess with, so we'll see how those go. Probably run some more tests, but we'll see. I may be able to test those myself, but if anyone else wants to join in and watch, you're more than welcome.

Maybe later tonight, even.

Oh, and Lily doesn't like dogs. At all.

... She's gonna really hate Sledge.

I dug out, dusted off, and updated my Steam account... huh, had been 300 days since last access... so I should be able to provide better feedback this time.

Darnit, knew I forgot something.

I was casting here for the last three hours or so. Much fun had - badass scags, bladeflowers, bonehead, blood on the tires, rakks, turbine brakes, and mine keys (or at least a note about them).

Oh, and round 1 in the arena.

Next up is the sniper rifle hunt, and possibly, depending on level, some of the other quests that are piling up.

Lily has reached L13, and the only shots she's fired are from the rocket launcher on the car. And that's 152 or so...

FWIW, I'm planning on casting most friday evenings between 9 and 12 BST (London UK time).

That's about 1700-200 EDT, or 1400-1700 PDT, for those of you in the states who can't find www.timeanddate.com.

Same sort of time is possible, although unlikely, for Saturdays, and Sundays until Mao gets his cast going, since I like watching him. Note that both Saturday and Sunday might be earlier start times, and will amost certainly be earlier finish times.
