OK, I'm going to steal a few questions from other players. I hope they don't mind.

1. From Fibre: what do you do for fun?
2. From Dannysaysnoo: videogames, yes or no?
3. From That_Wolf: what kind of music do you enjoy?
4. Fron danman: what OS do you use? If several, list all of them.
5. From Inumo: finally, what would you say takes up the plurality (largest percentage) of your time?

Possible reasons for choosing them:
1. A good ice-breaker.
2. He didn't give me many choices.
3. Because the other questions were too easyto lie about.
4. I don't know, I think it's weird enough to get picked.
5. It says "finally".

Not that I needed to provide reasons, but I enjoyed it.

Lots of it. Especially oingo boingo.

Time is an illusion. Lunchtime, doubly so. It's why I spend so much time eating.

Dear invisible friend. You have passed the first round... so onto the second..

1) No favorite film... Is this due to a lack of good films?
2) Do you have a job?
3) Swearing... how often do you swear? Do you swear more IRL or online?
4) Do you have any hobbies? What do you do for fun?
5) DnD 4.0 is basically "3.5 for dummies edition". Do you agree with
the previous statement? why/why not?
Quote from: danman's Invisible Friend
It's more due to indecision.
I could say so.
If I swore that I never swear, would it count as swearing? I'd tell
you where I swear the most, but it's a third option.
Of course I do. I post on this forum, among other things.
I disagree. The rules are too different to say one is a "dummy"
version of the other. I'd say it's a different game. Whether it's for
dummies or not is another story.

To that friend who is shy

What is your favorite color?

What is your quest?

Do you watch any Monty Python?

You say you post here a little bit. what games do you play?

You say you love the accordion. Do you play it?

If yes, for how long have you played it?

How do you think this round is going?

How many times have you played Invisible Friend on this forum, before?
Quote from: That_wolf's Invisible Friend
Right... so answers
1)I think my favorite colour is Red and Green... two favorite colours! (and NOT
because of Mario and Luigi... though i like those too.)
2)My quest? Lessee... as Woody Allen put it /I don't want to achieve immortality
through my work. I want to achieve it through not dying./... except that the
first version is still an OK goal.
3) Do you mean any of the individual actors, or any sketches of the comic group
at all? (kekekeke)
4) Three words, corrupt a wish, What are you listening to, maybe some others..
5) Nope, sadly... i can play some mouth organ/harmonica as that doesn't require
any music reading knowledge..
6) N/A
7) This round is going...*disco lights* Right round baby right round like a
record baby right round...
8) x times where x E [0,49);x E N ... excuse my lack of proper symbols

I checked out one of those bands (Fun) that I could find a sample for, and I like them now too. :) I am going to have to check out the others as well and get some of their music, thanks for mentioning them. Do you go to any concerts? If so what are some you've been to?

I wouldn't have computer games for breakfast. I have a high resistance

Quote from: Fibre's Invisible Friend
Dear Fibre,

The main reason I've been interested in genetics is discovering how to grow a car (originally it was learning how to give people tails etc, but I read a few books and found that there would be waaaaaaaay too many ethical issues for that to go okay). I figure if I can A) alter respiration to create a product that is NOT ATP, B) cause photosynthesis to create something that is usable for fuel that is NOT a sugar, and/or C) change photosynthesis to use carbon monoxide instead of carbon dioxide, then I can make a car that will be greener in some way or another. There would be other things to figure out, like how to build the chassis in a strong but flexible manner, what parts would need to be manufactured (tires and the like), where to store the water to feed the car, where to put the fuel it produces, but those are more engineering problems, and pretty simple ones at that.
In terms of game design, well, I've had a pet project for an MMO in my head since I was, oh, say, ten or twelve? It was a bit after I discovered Atriarch. To understand where my ideas came from, I hope you'll take my word for it when I say I'm not your normal gamer. I'd rather be able to go through an entire game creating things instead of killing. I prefer to make the inn the adventurers sleep in (and profit!) than be the one sleeping before heading to whatever dungeon's in the hills. I hope this makes sense... Anyways, the game is a sci-fi/fantasy, and revolves around a world called Akami (which also happens to be the title of the game). Players choose one of six races, which picks one of the six regions to start in. Trying to keep this short so I won't make too big a wall o' text... The world would (hopefully) be persistent, with a largely player-run economy, technology advancement, and city-building. Eventually players could get to other continents besides the first one, and theoretically, get up into space (if they assist one of the races in tech advancement etc enough). I'll end that there since it's easier to say everything if I'm talking.

I've been to a concert, yes. The only true concert I can remember going to was one for Celtic Women. Of course, I also listen to music from Cirque du Soleil, though I'm not sure if their acts count as concerts. :P Also, let me know if you want any other bands to listen to. I've got something like 50 artists in my library.

Sincerely,
--Your IF.

1) Yes, I am a guy or a girl.
2) Yes I have a signature, otherwise they wouldn't give me a passport.
3) Let's see... i think "sanity is for the weak" fits me well, which is one of
the reasons i love DMFA so much - i have used a variant of that before i even
knew about the comic.
4) Yes and yes.
5) I am suspicious, however, no reason to over-haste
6) Lost Lake
7) Yes not only I post there,  I even read the comic.

Beyond that, of the hours you spend awake, how much of it would you say you spend on the CMF?

Finally, do you prefer to try and follow a conversation designed for randomness with related statements, or are you fine with non sequiturs?

Dear IF,

Very interesting! Thanks for the explanations.

And sure, I would be interested to hear more of the artists that you like.

In your 50-artist collection, how many albums and songs do you have?
What is the total file size of your collection?
Do you listen to individual songs or whole albums?
What is your listening setup?

Do you consider yourself a furry?
What do you consider "furry" to mean?

Do you do any software development/programming?
Do you do any hardware development/design?
What kind of computer hardware do you prefer?
What computer software do you prefer?

Am I asking too many questions?
How many questions per reply do you think is optimal for IF?

You can choose! English is very versatile and doesn't need a gender to
reference someone anyway.
Well, I very much value my privacy and would not want to live with
other people, but I would like and have been working towards more
social contact.
Maybe 10-30 minutes, it's hard to say as I have not really paid much attention.
I have 104 webcomics on my list, though maybe 20-30 of those don't
seem to be updating regularly at the moment.
In general I tend to be more confused than amused by conversational
randomness, but I don't object to it and there are of course
exceptions as always.

Dear Fibre,

I can see you're making up for all of the questions you missed last time! :3 I just found out I underestimated my artist number, though. It's actually closer to 125-130 once you take out all of the "So-and-so feat. such-and-such" and the like. Time to try and confuse the cramonkeys out of your library with obscureness! >:3 Okay, the ones I like that are obscure... Yelle, Tabu, T.A. Copy, The Project, Passion Pit, Matt & Kim, Goldfish, Café Tacuba, and Brunch (if you find an album of these guys, let me know), not including those I've already mentioned and ones that I feel are at least somewhat mainstream.

I currently have 136 albums and 1080 songs amassing an approximate file size of 6.37GB. I usually listen to whatever shows up when I hit "shuffle all," so long as I'm in the mood to listen to it. Occasionally, though, I'll use the iTouch app myTunz to pick out a selection of individual songs or a maximum of 3 albums to listen to at once. Usually I just use a pair of ear-buds or my laptop speakers to listen to said music.

I usually prefer to refer to myself as an "anthro fan," since where I'm at there are some rather serious negative connotations that the people I know apply to the term "furry." Personally, I think the term "furry" captures a large spectrum of people, from people that are merely somewhat interested in anthro characters, to those creepy people that live fursuiting and, well, you get the point.

I wish I knew how to program software. It'd be a nice first step towards more professional opportunities, but I haven't had the chance to take a class yet to learn something more than ActionScript 2. Hardware-wise, that's been more of my brother's thing. I'm willing to use pretty much any computer hardware that works consistently and is an upgrade to what I've got. Periodically I'll buy a new computer, but I try to pick them so they'll last for a while. Same goes with software, though that generally means going with Windows. I'll admit, I don't have too many qualms about pirating, so long as I A) don't use it to earn money, and B) feel it is prohibitively expensive or hard to find, or I've already bought a copy of the files I'm getting.

Don't worry about asking too many questions. I get that you're trying to learn as much as you can. People are smart enough to self-moderate the number of questions they ask, so long as they don't mind sorting through the answers. :P

Oh! And before I forget...

Had to go through a site I'd made to make sure you couldn't tell it was me. The home site's also the site for Akami, if you're curious (though I have very little information on there).

Dear IF.

I would say that everyone has personal preferences in stories, just like in real life -  and where there is variation there can be ranking.
After all, a story which leaves one apathetic so as to what happens to the characters is generally good only for MST3K-ing and laughing at.
Not to mention that who a person sympathises with of course tells useful information about his personality.
That said,  i ask again, which characters of DMFA you like most and which you dislike most ?

Dear Invisible Friend, I'm getting tired of this. I do my best to think of good questions and all you do is answer with one-liners. Would you rather I asked yes/no questions instead?

I'll try that just this once, but it'll be like playing a different game.

Are you currently playing any RPs at the Haunted Ballroom?
Have we ever met in person?
Have you played CCC before?
And what about this game?
Do you have a significant other?
Are you over 20 years of age?
Have you ever posted a comic online?
Is America a continent?

I hope after this we can go back to interesting questions and I can get answers with some thought put into them.

Well, I've only got a few "get to know you" questions left, IF, so I'll ask you some "figure you out" ones:

How many of the Haunted Ballroom RPs do you play in?
How many games on this board are you currently active in?
What's your favorite animal to see anthro'd?

Quote from: danman's Invisible Friend
That is a deep and profound analysis, but I believe there exists a
wide range of grays between ranking and apathy. In the case of DMFA,
I'm more interested in the story than on any one character. I believe
it wouldn't be as good without all the interactions between the
different characters. I can't pick just one favorite. As for which
character I like the least, possibly Regina because she hasn't shown
any redeeming qualities yet.

Dear IF, I'm sorry, I was in a bad mood yesterday because someone has been badmouthing me and has been too much of a coward to show his/her face. But it's true that I prefer answers with some thought put into them.

Whether America is a continent or 2 (or even 3) depends on who says it. Here we're taught that it's one continent with 3 subdivisions (North, Central and South). Where you live, you're taught that it's 2, separated by the Panama canal.

So... what do you think about this?

Can you tell me something you like, and why you like it? Perhaps a hobby of yours or something you enjoy.

Dear Gabi.

Someone was badmouthing /you/? Seriously? Keep who it was to yourself, I'm liable to fly off the hook.

Teaching it as 2 continents seems to make more sense to me. There are 2 large land masses, with a thin link between them. Calling it three subdivisions doesn't make Much sense, as they're not.

Hmm... hobby... I've always enjoyed almost any kind of visual media. Movies, TV, online video, animation. I'm even trying to get an online stream going. The only problems I'm having are with coming up with an original idea.

Well, I've only got a few "get to know you" questions left, IF, so I'll ask you some "figure you out" ones:

How many of the Haunted Ballroom RPs do you play in?
How many games on this board are you currently active in?
What's your favorite animal to see anthro'd?
Quote from: Inumo's invisible Friend
I am participating in a number of games and RPs here and in the
Haunted Ballroom.

It's hard to give a specific animal that I like to see in anthro form
or just like in general, there are so many that I love! However I do
suppose I especially like canines of all types. And regardless of the
species, the cuter and fuzzier the better. :3

Ah, thank you very much. :) I don't even know who it was. I'll just wait and see what happens. But I must tell you, I definitely prefer to have an invisible friend than an invisible enemy.

Hmm... Do you know the bicycle song?

Did you do anything interesting yesterday? If so, what was it?

And where do you think everyone else went?

Dear friend,

I apologize for the slowness on my part here. It has been a rather unexpectedly busy week. Thank you for the drawing and the answers!

What does my name make you think of?
Do you like to cook?
Do you cook often?
If you do, what are your favorite things to make?
What are your favorite foods?
What computer input devices do you prefer?
What is your favorite season?
Do you prefer colder or warmer weather?
How do you define cold and warm weather?

Sincerely,
- Fibre

Okay, IF, let's see about some actual "get to know" questions...

Do you ever have those "I feel like a ninja" moments? :mowninja
What about total-badass moments?
Have you ever heard of the Icehouse game sets? If so, which games have you played with them?
Do you ever feel bad about throwing away a CD or other digital storage device?
Pirate or ninja?
Wherever you're at, does the above conflict occur, or is it something like cowboys and astronauts or some other duo?
What would you say is the most obscure artist you listen to?
Do you know the Caramel Dance? :P
Did the above question make any sense at all?

Have fun with these random Qs! :)

For people who are replying for to there invisible friend using pm's remember embedded links and images do not translate well.  i have to actually dig out the url and edit them back into the messages. also tomorrow IF end so you two stragglers get the lead out and send in you gifts else you 'll have no chance to win.

Dear Gabi...

Indeed. An invisible friend is inconvenient, an invisible enemy is unfair.

By Queen? Bicycle! Bicycle! Bicycle! Bicycle?

Most of my yesterday was occupied with decorator work. I was painting windows. Very hard, when there are upwards of 20 thin flat surfaces needing coating.

Maybe they found the Visible Friend game?

Dear Fibre,

Don't worry. I'm starting to slow down on this game too.

Fiber-optic cables. :P
Yes, I do. I used to have a Simple & Delicious subscription...
Not as much as I would like to. It's always been too much of a hassle to get supplies and find the time.
Pastas are good, but steak also tastes good when cooked right. Usually I end up eating whatever I can get my hands on for cheap.
I'm afraid I don't follow. Do you mean as in computer v. laptop type of thing, how I play computer games...?
Fall. It has the ability to conform to whatever mood I want it to through the death of the leaves, the refreshing chill of the air, the bright, warm colors on the trees... It can be both happy and sad. Spring comes in close second, mostly because my allergies pick up a ton during it.
Warmer, 'cuz I'm so skinny that it's impossible for me to be comfortably warm except under certain circumstances.
I define the temperature more by what I wear than by what I term it. Below 35, I wear long sleeves, pants, a heavy coat, some mittens, and a hat. From there to 45, I get rid of the mittens and hat. 45-55, the coat is replaced with a lighter weight one. 55-60, no coat. 60-75, short sleeve shirt instead of long sleeves, and after that, shorts instead of pants.

With a long-winded answer,

OK, last chance for questions, I guess. Thanks for the nice animation!

Dear IF, do you play WoW? No need to talk much about it, it's just that so many people do...

Do you read other people's stories at the Tower of Art? If so, what do you think about them? If not, why not?

it seems that were are down to the last image needed that means that you have 10 more hours to send you gift for dannysaysnoo or else you will be disqualified and unable to win the round even if you've guesses your friends identity.

Dear Gabi.

Thanks! I'm actually pretty inexperienced at animation. I did that on my DS, would you believe it.

Eh, I used to. I couldn't play it for more than a week before losing all interest.

I used to, but not so much now. Mainly, it's a timekeeping issue, I'm usually doing something else.

Dear Invisible Friend

When does someone cease to be themselves? When hair changes colour? When plastic surgery is performed? When they donate an organ?

Quote from: Dannysaysnoo's Invisible Friend
Dear Dannysaysnoo,

I believe a person stops being themselves when they stop acting how they normally act, but act different then they normally would. How they appear is not important in who they are. Likewise, if they donate an organ, they are not truly changed.

Not really, I would be happy if I could just feel awake occasionally.
Same. :)
No, I haven't heard of them...
Not really, if I throw away storage media it's because it's a
misburned CD; otherwise I keep all of my storage devices.
I guess if I had to choose, maybe pirates, though that's a pretty random choice.
Such conflicts really don't occur for me, unless it's something like
Mexican vs. Italian for dinner. :)
I listen to mostly relatively obscure artists; counting only
commericially available artists in my collection, maybe Holopaw or
Point Juncture WA or something.
Yes I do!
Of course.

here's the last image with a few hours to spare.  you may start guessing  any time you please now .
