Ah, yes. The films seemed to have stripped all the decent parts out of the dialogue. Try this instead.

See, Jakob could 'deck him over the head' as Wuffy put it and walk away, but he tends to do this instead, if he thinks it will work. It doesn't quite work out that way, as we shall see.

Also the locket has sentimental value to him.
