I suppose the old adage "Attached at the Hip." doesn't quite suit them does it? Destania is probably one hell of a lieutenant.

Well sure she is, seeing as how she seemingly wrote the entire book on evil, and wanted to torture children for her classes. So she apparently knows when not to show mercy when she needs to. Be afraid to read the book, be very afraid. :veryevil

Makes you wonder if she remembered to make the book Genre Savey or not. If she didn't (or isn't Genre Savey herself) we likely have alot of dead cubi on our hands <.<

If, after 7000 years of teaching evil, she's not genre savvy, she's just plain doing it wrong  >:3

I don't suppose we'll get a Perfect Date of Destania?  If only for the dark humour possibilities...

There's also the matter of how many Cubi have the gall to actually read said book. And aside from Fa'lina and possibly Abel, I cant think of many who have the gall to read it.

Difficult to say.  Obviously they wouldn't stock the book if Fa'Lina thought it was too evil, but she does have her limits.  Torturing children to death and then eating their souls, for instance.  She wasn't too impressed with Aniz, either.

'Cubi have a reputation for preying on Beings, noted here and here.  Also, this strip is also an interesting one.

What I'd take away from it all is this, which may or may not be strictly accurate:
1. Some 'Cubi just see Beings as prey and kill them.  Aary is this type.  Dee was, but may or may not have changed her tune.
2. Most 'Cubi are simply brought up to be smug and believe Beings are inferior, but don't actively target them unless the Beings 'start it'.
3. Some 'Cubi are sympathetic to Beings, most likely those who were brought up to think they were Beings, e.g. Dan and Abel.  Even so, especially after spending centuries among other 'Cubi, they know that they are 'Cubi and may occasionally do questionable things.
We might, for instance see a post-SAIA Dan 'accidentally' trip someone up because he likes the emotional rush.

She probably knows of the magical properties of that shirt.  Makes sense for her to want it gone.

What magical properties? It's not the one made out of the robe that Wildy gave him.

Which reminds me, When Abel is modifying the robe, Dan objects on the gruonds of it being a gift from a friend he doesn't want ruined. Doesn't say anything about "That's a magical item and it needs to stay like it is." Also interesting is that Dan would war something else on an adventure, although an open vest or whatever it is now probably doesn't offer all that much protection. Lastly, how would Kria know the robe, had he been wearing it, was magical?
Someday, when we look back on this, we'll both laugh nervously and change the subject. More is good. All is better.

Heh, that was a really funny strip.
It reminded me of a good Calvin and Hobbes strip that took a different approach to a similar subject: http://www.reemst.com/calvin_and_hobbes/stripsearch/1994/3/2/calvin_and_hobbes.html

Poor Dan... compared to this walking into Matty's abode wearing only a bow-tie looks tame.
First time I herd of a strict "no shoes, no shirt polocy" where you are required to not wear shoes and a shirt.  Shoes I can understand...

Funny the polocy does not apply to dresses.  Though technically they would not be indecently exposed, just PG-13 exposed as I am guessing that those two are wearing the requested bra.
I wonder if Lorenda or Kira wears classic bras or custom.  I would nosebleed laugh if she is wearing a bra that has hand patterns.

Okay, seriously, how many here have not figured out that Kria made that rule on the fly just to see Dan topless? I mean, cmon. I don't know about the shoes thing though. Foot fetish?

And yah, boxen beaned it on the head. Desty is married. No perfect date for you.

It was obvious.  Kira finds him hot and since she's in her home she has the grounds to make the rules.

And who's to say that Dee and her hubby don't go on dates.  The advantages to marrying and loving a cubi are... limitless.

Technically spekaing, Dan hasns't done anything really stupid yet. (accepted an invitation to enter, yes, but...)
Getting into a fight with Biggstania may possibly not count as stupid on the grounds that Fi probably wouldn't know it was Dee, and it was drunk at the time.  If Abel finds out he may in future instruct Fi to get him as soon as Fi does anything stupid.

However, going off to fight an evil demon who left him clinically dead on their last encounter, at the behest of the local crimelord hardly strikes me as anything but stupid.   I can only conclude that Fi has the attention span of a gnat.

True enough, assuming that Fi actually knows about that encounter.  I don't think he's been reading back issues of DMFA, though.

Wait a tick, if there's a no shirt policy, why isn't everyone topless?! You'd think Kria would at least lead by example.

Kria and Lorenda are wearing full length dresses, and Lorenda has a jacket over that. no shirts.

You want to date the sadistic and evil teacher female that wants to torture and kill infants in her class?

Hey, points man. I'd hit that too.

No, but I want to know who she'd find interesting.  And please don't say "Edward", because we know even less about him than about her.

Whilst we're on the figurative dating topic, Fa'lina? I'm starting to see her character as being similar to Dr. Cuddy, though with less restraint. Anyway, it's obvious she wants direct part in future generations, I don't know, the humor aspect of the caption is what's really driving me to ask. As for Dee it could just culminate in a maternal "Sorry sweety, I'm married, but flattered that you asked." type answer. After all Wildy just said "Not at this time."

As to Kria whipping that rule up on the spot, we can only see her head, neck, & forearm in panel 3. She may be happy strutting her stuff just embarrass Lorenda, & give Dan reason to blush beet red. Course, we might end up with a scene change discretion shot. :3

Hey now... A no shoes no shirt? What about pants?? :P I wouldn't mind seeing Dan without pants. Who's with me?? :D
Haven't we already had pantsless Dan? Can you really call this pants?Maybe not, but I don't see 2 (or more) pants legs. What would you call it if not pants? Not a dress. In the DP flashback the guard only dressed him over his other clothes, so that one doesn't fit. I guess I really have nowhere to go with this attempt.

Actually, webcomics tend to be better about this than traditional newspaper comics, since it's sort of a cliche, and webcomics don't have as much baggage.

Mmm. This is really bad for Lorenda, she's related directly to his Nemesis. So far he's fine with it, for now, but she might have an overreaction before this is through.

Just like most politicians and news anchors too.

I believe Gallagher had a solution to this at one point, I think it involved crudely drawn poster board cutouts of legs placed beneath the TV. At that point he may have been Stuck in the Sixties, I can't remember. :beatnik

But really it just makes you wonder what exactly goes on beneath that podium. I'm thinking Clinton's administration here.

PS: I don't think anyone else should take that any further.
