Slowtini is banned cause my hard drive is fried and I need to vent, so he gets the innocent bystander treatment.

Jer-oh-me is banned because he should buy an external hard drive. I got one that was 300 Gigs and it wasn't too pricey. It was either close to a hundred dollars or a bit over. It worked great for me (though I currently am using a 700 Gig model).

VSMIT is banned because I'm not using it IN a laptop, I'm using it WITH a laptop. External, remember?

VSMIT is banned because while I don't have the technological know-how to say so, I would have to guess that it would take a lot of work to get a laptop to the point that you could install one, and even then you might not be able to make full use of it.

You seriously thought I had installed a 700 gig hard drive in my laptop?

Jairus is banned because all you would have to do to get it in would be remove the drive proper from its heatsink base.  It is actually a laptop HDD with a large heatsink that makes it the size of a desktop HDD.

And yeah.  As time moves on, they're making things smaller and smaller.  I figure it's just a matter of time before someone figures out how to make a 1TB HDD for laptops.

VSMIT is banned because then you'd probably have cooling problems with the set-up. I don't know, really, but that's what comes to mind.

I eagerly await that day. On the other hand, I'm terrified of the day that Steve Jobs announces the 1 TB iPod.
