I'm pretty sure Azzy is not a teacher.  I think Gabi holds a position with a university, though I'm not sure if she is actually teaching.  I do teach.

You don't have to give anyone anything. You can do as you please, as long as you're willing to face the consequences of your actions.

Some people aren't good for maths, many aren't even interested iun learning, and some are even afraid. Maybe they've had bad experiences with math teachers, or maybe no one has ever taught them properly or encouraged them to think. They may be good at other things, though. All people are different, and have different abilities.

For the same reason all other human languages are. It was made by [many different] humans in order to communicate with each other, and humans are very complex creatures.

English also has the disadvantage of having been conquered by the Germans, forced to adopt some German constructs, then conquered by the French and forced to adopt French constructs.  That is why on the farm it is called a pig and on the plate it is called pork.
