Indeed.  I can imagine SAIA having a few allied members of other races.  After all, it would be a good way for the students to learn about them.  Also, in 531, Abel says that 5% of the Academy eats food.  That might include student 'Cubi who haven't got to the emotion-feeding bit yet (though it looks like that happens about the time they're ready to attend) but it almost certainly includes non-'Cubi staff/contractors/guests/slaves.

The tentacles are not coming from her wings. And shape-shifting, for Cubi, is done via the back-wings. And she has no head-wings. And there are 9 visible heads in the Library, which is more than the maximum amount I've ever seen on Fa'Lina, let alone anyone else.

Not all convincing evidence, I'll admit, taken separately, but all together?
