What if he fails to remember his past correctly and thinks he died?!  Do you realize what would happen if a comic character imagines themselves dying in a flashback?  It'd be a paradox of "Infinite Universes" proportions!

Swordsmanship? Perhaps not, I didn't see his sword in this strip, maybe the amazons took it between this and the previous one. Maybe he'll vanquish his enemies with his superb sporkmanship.

But isn't the flashback the history, wouldn't we be present? Heck, if the whole universe is unraveling perhaps we're the future!

Every time someone travels to the past and alters it, a new branch of the timeline is created. But, unless the alterations were too great, this branch will soon vanish back into the primary timeline. Also, it is impossible to alter the past in such a way that it will change your present, since the time moves with a constant speed within one timeline; so, when you travel back to your time, your history remains unchanged. One can change present only while one is in the "present". Therefore, timetravel is not very useful, neither it is really dangerous. And it is still very confusing. But then again, there is such a thing as "chrono-bomb"... But it is even more confusing.

Actually, this is just the system that I use in the "Shades of Grey".

His pose in the second panel does look a bit "girly"; it also looks rather out of place. As for the rest of this strip, Dannie just looks really scared. It's his first real battle situation, after all.

Anyone else besides me notice how that "kchZZZAP!"  in that frame is about as good as you can get as far as illustrating a sound?  You really get a good idea of what Dan's hearing.

I completely agree with you. I, for once, never mastered the art of making good sound effects in comics.

Also, I like Dannie's expression in this panel. A perfect "What the..?" face.
