Fanstripped...sounds dirty somehow.

Cute style, and I like the humor. Something tells me though that Abel might actually prefer a mary-sue to this. (Granted, I don't think we know how he swings yet, but still.)

Also, Mab looks...sassy(?) in the second panel. Very cute.
Jeez I need to update this thing.

Jakon

This raises in my mind the question, "does Jyrras qualify for Mary Sue status?"

Hmmm. I will do research on this topic. FOR SCIENCE!

Pagan

I'm not sure about "sassy" but Mab does have an interesting expression in panel 2.
Good art, nice guest strip humor.

If the artist is on the forums,
Kudos.
After a long time, some things change. Some things don't. And I still love Regina!

When it's me writing the fanstrip, Jyrras definitely qualifies for Mary Sue status.

Aleolus

But I thought Mary-Sue was a generic name for any random original character or drawn representation of the person doing the fanstrip?  Like how Joe Brown is simply a representation of a random male character.

Actually a Mary-Sue is a character that only has one or two features that exist solely to insert them into the plot and never develop beyond those one or two features.  This leaves them with personalities about as developed as cardboard, but they do make excellent red-shirts.  If they aren't being used as red-shirts, they tend to be the all-knowing all-powerful person who always has control of the situation no matter how unforeseen the events are.

essentially it divides into the sub-groups of cannon-fodder and twinks.

Entertainingly, I took one look at the strip and went "I recognise that style..." ;-]

Not bad, not bad. Mab in the first panel and Jyrras in the last crack me up. But Abel looks kinda... weird. His hair in the last panel looks like some huge spider - a tarantula or something like that. Or maybe a small fluffy headcrab! :U

Gamma

Head crab, definitely head crab.

Just to start something ridiculous and unrelated

If you were to pick a story that could represent the loss and restoration of the scanner, which would you choose?  Some ridiculous choices are listed below.

Scanners Live in Vain by Cordwainer Smith
A Scanner Darkly by Phllip K. Dick
