...player doesn't log on for a few weeks, and suddenly we find out when he logs in that I was hugged back on the third. Weird. Not complaining, but still just weird.

Hugs normally aren't my thing, but since it's completely random a certainly won't object to it. Thanks... I guess. At the very least, I can count my blessing that none of your huggers appear to be female Dark Elves.

~= 1-(x-1/x)^h where x = average number of huggable members available and h=number of hugs administered. (or, the chance you WON'T be hugged is (x-1/x)^h)

with the ~300 active, huggable members, you have about a 1/3 chance(36.7) to get hugged atleast once over the course of 300 hugs administered (about 150 days, considering the rate at which the regular huggers do thier thing)

Given the different criteria for hugs varrying from hugger to hugger, and the sporadicity of some huggers' efforts, who can really tell.
