Since Amber is not able to offer any incentives for donating, I thought I'd chip in. As you may recall, a while ago I did a guest drawing of Dan. A lot of you really liked it, and I got a lot of people pestering me to do one of Abel. So here's my offer:

If you guys fill that donation bar all the way to the top, I'LL DRAW ABEL. Full-length, not just a wimpy upper-body shot like I did Dan. (Oh, and with less dot-like eyes.) :U

What do you say? Are you with me? :mowmeep

Zina

That's pretty awesome of you to offer that. :>  I'm a little bummed that I just transfered all my money out of my paypal account yesterday, otherwise I could have tossed money Amber's way.

So in effort to help out, I'll throw my hat in as well and offer up arts if Amber makes it to her goal. Perhaps of Fa'lina or Regina. :o

That's funny. See, I just transferred all my money out of my PayPal account yesterday too. :lol

I put a bit into the Amber U.S. Invasion Visits Her Old Home Fund. :)

Not much, but I hope that it helps.

I just transfered the rest of the money from my PayPal, today. :<  ...To Amber. :>

I'll chip in... on Friday... when I can afford to eat...  :cry

Good of you to take the initiative on this, Cameron. I just shot over some money.

Beyond donating (gotta dig up that Paypal login from yesteryear), I've got a question for anybody from North America: Why is it so hard to migrate between Canada and the US?

When I was in Canada (99-00), I pretty much got the impression that beyond social systems and french, there's hardly anything separating the lifestyle, economy or population in the two countries. Yet the migration, residence and insurance customs seem to be rather... cold to people moving across the border. Coming from a city where a lot of people work while living in one of two other countries, I can't really see the reasoning.

why am I always broke on the wrong times :<, o wait...
it's never a good time to be broke... :3

sorry I'm not that useful right now. But when I do get the chance, I will donate... :rolleyes

(yay.. first comment...  :intro :mowmeep)
I feel so useless right now. :< :B :<

Erf, all the money in my Paypal is already allocated to more company expenses.  I'll have to see what my latest round of Pepsi items goes for.  I might have a little to spare afterward if they sell for enough.

I could always volunteer for more medical studies... there's one for $5,800.

They want to stop my heart for a little while...   :<

I noticed it was stated that Amber has to come back to the states every 6 months, but I didn't see mention of how long that visit has to be.
I'll take a look at my minuscule paypal and see what can be spared (and look up the destination account).

Holy Happy Ambers,  :batman! Within 12 hours, Amber has hit her goal! Wow, the people here are kind, ya? Give yourselves all pats on the back! I would have donated but my landlord said he would hold onto my rent check untill friday (I would not be able to pay both him and the Cable, I sent Cable out 2 weeks ago and his out Sunday. I thought Cable had already taken theirs out but nnnoooo! x.x So was I worried both would get cashed) and yet, he cashed it yesterday, leaving me with all of 2.50 in my account. x.x

Dang.

That was over with fast. We didn't even get to see amber and the beavers get happier. They just went from sad to "justice fist away'd."
After a long time, some things change. Some things don't. And I still love Regina!

Reese Tora

wow...

I wasn't planning on mentioning that I'd donated, but I wonder where mine ranks in terms of largest donation...

I wonder if we got enough together for her to put a down payment on a new car?

Would be sweet. |)

If I had known what would have happened, I would have drawn something in advance. I was hoping to wake up this afternoon to maybe around $200-$500 at most and updating the image slightly edited with an extra beaver this evening.  I had to mad scramble to make something ASAP to let peeps know it was no longer necessary. Heh, I was expecting much the same thing, really, even though I tossed in a good amount.

What's keeping you from donating? The arbitrary fund drive being over? The starving artist could always use more moolah.

pyrohamster

Hey Amber did you get somewhat near 800$, or is more like 1500$, oooorrr are you still calculating?

Mostly the latter. A few people sent in payments that require a bit of time to clear so I'm not 100% sure of the final tally without whipping out math which is hard since paypal will likely be narfing a small percent.

I will say this much though, with the amount sent in I will not only be able to handle the trip and any possibly troubles from it as well as smacking down a few near-ninja bills...I will also have a necessary fund-buffer to put away into a "make some damn tshirts already Amber!" fund.  Part of the trip down will now be me discussing with peeps about getting shirts made up that can be sold online rather than my previous attempts which only had me selling them at conventions.

BarGamer

I saw this at the top, and had to share my version.

News: February? February loves you. In that "Mab upper-cuts you into Canada" kinda way.

Well, she did say she's got too much already. And I'm probably going to donate some money after all. I don't know. Blargh, I was tired when I wrote that, and I'm tired now.

Oh wow, you guys! And here I was trying to come up with a way to help today, as I have no access to giving money online, but you beat me to the punch! I'm really happy you were able to make your goal, Amber (and so quickly!).

You're such wonderful people. :3
