Well, another reason not to give aid to Muslim countries.

They beat you for naming teddy bears after the Prophet.

Death to the infidel?

A great example of what happens when religious extremists get control.

Huh, that's interesting...I'd blame this more on the kids for picking the name really, but then again I guess there's not much they'd be allowed to do to the children as compared to the poor teacher. I wonder what kind of whip they'll be using if the poor woman does get the fourty lashes...

Alondro

That's what I think is one of the most absurd parts of this!  It's not even her fault!  The kids themselves picked the name by democratic voting.  Would there have been a problem if they'd voted for, let's say 'Bob'?  But she's the one who gets punished (cuz she's not Muslim).

As for the redical retards whose comments are placed at the bottom of the story, if there was any conspiracy here, I'd say it's more likely that the parents told their children to vote for Muhammed so they could then attack the non-Muslim teacher whom they probably hate anyway.

*grrrs... can't take it anymore!*   :boom  I'm sick of all of this!  NUKE EM ALL AND GET IT THE HELL OVER WITH!!!   :explosion   MUST WAGE THE FINAL CRUSADE!!!   :sword :chainsaw :gun2 :gun1 :mob

Mmh, In things like this taking actions such as a crusade wouldn't be a good idea, sure we could proboblly put an end to it all, but then someone else would proboblly complain and then another problem would arise causing even more people to be frustrated and then we'd possibly go into another war, and that's the last thing this world needs. Hopefully she just won't be convicted and everyone can get on with their lives.

Muslim extremists cease to surprize me with any of the ridiculous crap that they do nowadays.  I just stopped caring; To actually have any feeling about it is just to needlessly piss yourself off over things nothing to do with you, that you have no means of changing.

Alondro

No means to stop it... yet.

This is exactly why I refuse to deal with anything relating to Muslim, since the whole system is designed to imprison, punish, and commit genocide against all but the most devote of muslims.  Oh wait, the devote Muslims kill themselves with bombs....  Damn, that religion is out to kill anything and everything it can....

I'm quite sure that's a huge oversimplification. And let's face it, you take extremists from just about any religion, put them in power, and you're likely to get stuff like this.
I may be a bit young to be worrying about it so much, but I'm not changing this sig until I find true love.

I'd rather live under a christian system that tried to convert and forgive me rather than a muslim system that tried to kill or enslave me regardless of literal intention.

The problem isn't so much religion, as the corrupt extremists.
Ex. Women in Muslim belief are supposed to remain covered?
Yes, but so too are men. They are the ones breaking the rules of their own religion, for whatever purposes they see fit.

However, do not cite me on this.

Actually, the Muslim belief system is so openly anti-feminine it's a wonder there are still women in it.

What I meant was that it's a wonder any of them are still alive.  Anyway, there is a very big difference between the two.  Muslim extremists take their holy writings very strictly and literally.  You'll be hard pressed to get a message of "KILL THE INFADELS!" from the new testament even when you don't take it literally.

Can't forget that, in Old Testament book of Genesis, the sons of Abraham paid a village back for messing with their sister by convincing everyone that circumcising every male in the village would be suitable punishment, then leaving, and returning to slaughter everyone while the men were still in agony from their "operations." So Christian Englishmen and women, remember that precedent: if people torture your women, first you make them suffer, then you make them dead. According to the Good Book, at least. O:)

well, at least they actually punished the ones who commited the act against the woman rather than imprisoning or stoning the woman for "having sex" regardless of the fact that she was raped while her attacker(s) go off and commit the same crime again and again.....

Yes this is a very unfortunate situation, but wow...

And now some of the nutcases have gone even further...

Yup, death to the infidel

And Gareeku, I'm for destroying ALL humans.  Logically, it's the only sure-fire way to stop the insanity once and for all!   >:3

I like taking horrific logic to its ultimate ends.  It's very amusing to see people try to argue against it when it's indisputable fact, which then becomes the argument against using only logic to justify things.   :3

I'm not arguing against it. I'm just saying that it is pointless and retarded to try and agrue about it because a) there is nothing that we as ordinary citizens can do anything about it, and b) it very often makes people look ridiculous and idiotic.

And I shall respond with:

"The surest way for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing."

I think you should know, many Jews who escaped the Hollocaust did so because of the actions of ordinary people taking extraordinary risks to do what they knew was right.

One man can make a tremendous difference.  That's why a leader is called a leader.  Turning points in history are often initiated by single persons or small groups taking the lead.  I would look back at people like Jesus and His disciples.  Even if you take Jesus out of that equation for the reason of belief that as divine He was quite far from ordinary, you are still left with the fact that after him, his few primary disciples, most notably Peter and John, themselves quite ordinary fishermen, founded the basis of a religion that literally changed the entire world.

Hoiw about Thomas Edison?  He was a poor clerk before he began inventing, just a regular man who didn't stand out from anyone else.  But he perservered.  Ever heard of a little thing called the 'light bulb'?  It took thousands of attempts to make one that worked well.  But he didn't give up.  That's the difference.  When you surrender is when you truly fail.

I'm thoroughly disgusted with the helpless attitude of people today.  People want everythign handed to them, they have bought into the modern socialist mindset that the individual is useless and helpless.  It's pathetic.

As for myself, I have only just begun to fight.

Are they cowards? A teddy bear isn't even an animal, it's a children's toy named after President Theodore Roosevelt, a known hunter and environmentalist, in addition to being a great leader. Muhammad was as much of a Prophet as Jesus was, and this is ridiculous. If I named a teddy bear Jesus the Vatican wouldn't issue a warrant for my arrest nor sentence me for some RIDICULOUS reason and use it as anti-Protestant/Jehovah's Witness/Judeaism/Mormon propeganda. It seems strange to me that those in the Muslim religion want everyone to be Muhammad's slaves, and follow Muhammad's laws with out question or suffer the consequences, rather seeking out wisdom discovering the will of God for themselves. I don't mean to offend anybody, but it seems odd that a majority of what the hatred and angst is based on is what Muhammad was claimed to have said on his death bed, or what was rewritten into the text by extremist Muslims.

EDIT: I would also like to point out that Theodore Roosevelt was honored to have a children's toy named after him, and not offended.

There is a difference between heroes and great men and women, and people who bitch on an internet forum.

As for myself, I have only just begun to fight.

No offense man, but what from what I've seen, all you seem to be doing right now is whining and complaining on an internet forum. From reading your arguement, I am assuming that you are condemning me because of the fact that  I have said something that does not agree with your views, including such tactics as trying to put me down through trying to patronize me.

This isn't some resistance movement. This is something that is happening thousands of miles away. You're not going to hop on a plane, go over there and start freeing people like some big hero. If you're going to say things like "I have only just begun to fight", then go join the army and get yourself drafted to the Middle East. Don't talk yourself up and create this air of superiority about yourself when all you are doing is sitting at home or at work typing into a computer screen in an internet forum.

I like any decent human being would love nothing more than for our brave men and women in the armed forces to go and take these evil and oppressive regimes out and end their reigns of tyranny. I, however, am not going to go join up myself because I am not the type of person that is needed for such a career, though I will give my full support to those who do. However, I do not talk myself up and vow that I will "fight" when in actual fact I will do nothing. Get over yourself.

Alondro

I find it insulting that you think all I do is sit here at a computer and complain.  I'm only passing on news that I think is important for people to see so they can be aware of what the world is facing.  There are verbal battles constantly between myself and others who seem to think we should do nothing but live our lives in fear of offending someone.  It isn't just on this screen, I am debating people continuously.  If the voices of those who want to surrender our way of life and who do not believe that the freedoms we enjoy are the rights of everyone on this world are the only ones heard, then those are the ideas that will come to dominate and lead us down the path to enslavement.

Most of what you see here when I'm making silly rants about blowing up the Earth is venting my frustration with the situations I see.  Sometimes wiping out humanity does sound like the only sure-fire way to stop these things!  And you know what?  If everyone stopped hiding their heads in the sand and said in one voice, "Enough!  You will stop now or we'll make you stop!", I have a feeling these petty cruel dictators and religious fanatics would suddenly be the ones on the run.  They are, at their cores, cowards.  A dictator always fears the people, for he knows that one day they may rise up against him.  They crave power to attempt to shield themselves, and create a cycle of ever-increasing misery and hatred.  They blame other nations for their problems in an attempt to shift the blame away from themselves and distort religion to make their aims sound like a holy war.

So, am I to simply stay silent?  Do I not oppose the loud voices of the fools who would rather all the world be subjugated under Sharia Law rather than fight back and instead harbor freedom for world?  If all I can do is battle words with words, then I will do so with all my might.

Words and ideas are a power too, and throughout history they have proven to be very strong indeed, but only when they are expressed.  The best book in the world is useless if it never taken from the shelf and read.

All it takes to change the world is to change peoples' minds.  Words are a quintessential tool in that regard, though action is sometimes needed to enforce the words, especially when dealing with people who have sealed off their minds to hearing any other voices than those screaming for more dominion.

For now, I fight with words.  When the time is right, I will do more.  Though I often speak hastily, especially when I've reached a certain limit and need to release the tension building up, I always act with great consideration.
