I used to do it back when I was the kind of person who made over 8000 posts within the span of 3 years.  It took me a while to figure out that it wasn't so much me killing the threads as me posting in threads that were already dead.

I have, since, decided to savor low post counts, rather than aim for high ones.  Won't last forever, so enjoy it while it does.

Kinda like being single.  After the first year or so, you start to realize just how liberating it is not to have a significant other.
