He's not gonna have the fangs to match a snake girl.  Most likely poisonous too, leading to a possible double loss as he gets her with his wings while the poison works its way through his system until he has to concede and retreat for the time being.

I don't remember anything about Cubi being particularly immune to venom.

Someone needs to roll high in their saving throw VS Poison.

That I did not expect.
Frankly I think it's more likely we're going to lose Hennya than Aniz at this juncture, since I suspect he is the link between Abel and Edward.
'She'... My guess is Fa'Lina.  It could be Kria though since she does like him and seeing him messed up like that is not going to go down well with her.

As for venom, 'Cubi are shapeshifters and tend to self-heal over time so in the worst case he could probably amputate the bitten portion painlessly and grow it back later.

**EDIT**

Kasarn, what font size and spec did you use in the 'chocolate rain' strip?

Don't forget, Aniz has claws.. like any feline...really, sharp claws.

12 point. Photoshop makes the font size relative to the DPI, so I changed that to 72 first (I don't know if the GIMP does the same thing but I thought I'd mention it).
The asterisks in the second panel were Times New Roman (randomly picked) as Pasteris has full size asterisks.
The spaces in the middle panel were 6pt because Pasteris has large spaces and it wouldn't fit.

Thanks!  I managed to do it once (a little picture where Dan says "Oh my God... I'm a furry!") but I didn't make notes on how it was done :(

I take it there were no other parameters, like bold?

The reason I suggest Aaryanna is that it seems that he's been working for Fa'Lina all along.  http://www.missmab.com/Comics/Abel_92.php

I don't see anything there that sugests a connection to Falina

hmm good point but I don't think that sugests he's working for her

just that he knows her and is currently doing something she'd dissaprove of

but It does suggest that the She isn't Falina

My guess is Kria

Just because Hennya is serpentine doesn't make her naturally poisonous.

Besides, her tail/lower body is coming around so she can give Aniz a nice, tight 'hug'. Hennya-constrictor!

I guess all the people who were asking "Where is Hennya in all this" now know. I wonder if Abel was part of this as a distraction, either way he pulled of the job.

I don't think Aniz is going to die anytime soon (or at least at the hands of anyone here).

I don't think it's Fa'Lina.  When Aniz is saying that, he seems to be just putting something together for the first time.  If `she' were Fa'Lina, he would have put it together a long time ago.  I think this is someone else, tangentially involved.

I had assumed that she was on Aniz/Fa'Lina's side, but it is possible that she is not.  I strongly suspect that it's not Aary or Destania, because they would be on Aniz's side, and Abel doesn't seem to hold a grudge against either of them (though I don't think we've actually heard Abel speak of Destania).

It could be Kria or Hennya's mom or...do we actually know that Kria's instructor was male?

Yes, you're right.  I misread the strip, since he's talking about 'her' as if she is going to get in the way.  The way he was talking about Fa'Lina gives me the impression that he's been ordered or allowed to fetch Abel.  The whole thing could be some elaborate SAIA fieldwork/exam if his 'adventuring' consists largely of making reports back to the Academy.
I was thinking that he meant she'd be furious when he tries to enroll a son he's just beaten up.

He doesn't like Aary, and she doesn't like him although it seems to be more rivalry than anything worse.  Aary is about 50 and still a very young student by 'Cubi standards so it really, really isn't gonna be her.

Destania's more interesting.  She was certainly on Abel's side by the time she left, since she taught him martial arts and god knows what else ( http://missmab.com/Comics/Vol_713.php  - choice quote "I once had a vested interest in [him]").
Her main job is pain and terror, so it looks like she did that privately as a favour like she did with her stepdaughter.  He must have got on her good side to do that - seriously, I would not ask a favour from a 7000-year-old specialist in terror unless I was already friendly with them >:3

All that careful plotting, evil ranting, and he forgets the 800 pound mythos in the room. Looks like Aniz just pulled a Jyrras in terms of absentmindedness.

We know that Destania thinks herself to be on Abel's side, but I don't think that we have any proof that Abel agrees.  I think Aniz would claim to be acting in Abel's best interests, as well.

Perhaps, but it looks to me like Abel requested the lessons from Destania.

As I've said about prior episodes in Abel's Story, Aniz appears to be, well, toying with everyone here.  And, despite what everyone else has said about Aniz tossing around his "wife," I believe Aniz has been showing great restraint.

Yes, hurling May across the room is still, "restraint," to Aniz.  With Hennya's attack, however, I believe Aniz will stop pulling his punches.

We're about to see what a 'cubi can really do when the gloves come off.

(As for the "she," I suspect either Destianna, or some other older 'cubi female working at SAIA.  But not Fa'lina.  She doesn't seem the type to hurt her own students.)
