Because the old ones were too old.

I've just found this profile.

By postcount that person should be a Slime, but instead he's a New Swiss-ite. What does this mean?

If anyone else has found other mysterious ranks, feel free to post them here.

Oh! You're welcome.

Now I'm wondering how that happened.

If you apply someone to a group, that group shows up - eg, the "mighty ruler" group, for Damaris and myself.

However, if you set "no primary group" and assign them to the group as a -secondary- group, they get the same access, but they also get the usual post-count related groups as well.

In the former case, they've got the post-count ones as secondaries, so they don't show up.
