Dragon. Meat. SausageCookies.

A rather touching scene.
You know, I was afraid that Kria was going to eat Devin's corpse, given that she and even Lorenda do have a tendency to eat people.  From the tender way in which she seems to be touching him, I think a decent burial is more likely.  And we still haven't seen Xander's corpse, dammit (although it always was likely that Mr. Mystery would never be revealed to us).

Well, I wouldn't totally discount the option that Devin will still be a Kria snack.

And even if, I think Amber was evil making a fading scene with Kria bowing down to Devin and then a "Sausage" speech bubble. At the very first moment I thought that was what Kria was thinking about doing with Devin.  :erk

Next up; Kria will go to Abel's house to share a dinner/cookies with May. She might even bring a pack of freshly carved meat.  >:3

"Who wants some of the tasty delicious adventurer cookies?"

ShiningShadow

Interesting Kria leaning down towrads Devin and all of sudden *MEAT COOKIES!*
WTF! I have this feeling that Kria will revive Devin back maybe and this Taur  she's wacky and looks very sexy at the same time *Very Interesting*.

It looks to me like she's just closed his eyes.

**EDIT**
The line "We had best be off" in the previous strip would tend to indicate that they are leaving the corpses and scarpering as opposed to eating out...

Nah, her hand is nowhere near his face at the moment--it's lingering more near the fluffy tip of his ear. It's still a very nice panel despite the confusion, though... either Kria's up to something (unlikely) or she's paying tribute to Devin in her own little way.

Meat cookies, huh? Yeesh. I do NOT want to know how those would taste. Gross gross gross. Then again, May, that's what you get for asking a possibly carnivorous creature about cooking advice.

Yeah, I'd go for the latter.[/quote]

I think it would be quite nice.  The main problem is that people are thinking of the cookie as a sweet thing. If you took all the sugar out and made it into a savoury biscuit like cheese thins but with meat instead, I think it would work quite well.

It's curious that May isn't carnivorous though (Earth felines have lost the ability to digest vegetable matter, unlike canids).

I don't know.  I think that this might work, even if it's a sweet cookie.  Zorro suggested mincemeat or candied meat.  It's gotta be an improvement over fruitcake.

Meat Thins, anyone?

I doubt it has much to do with May's dietary habits, but more about the idea of mixing two drastically different-tasting ingredients together into a rather... well, weird concoction. It's more like a dog biscuit than an actual meal in my honest opinion.

I discovered the most delicious salty-sweet hors d'œuvre at a Christmas party: bacon, dates, and pecans. Add a bit of flour and bake it, and it would be a cookie. A tasty cookie.  :mowcookie

yanno... The secret meat ingredient in the meat cookies are starting to sound like fresh adventurer meat.

To me it looks like Kira is thinking one or more of these things.
1- he's Abel's friend... I should burry him.
2- Hummm... is he dead, can I taste him?
3- he doesn't look so edible.

Considering all the weird things humans have been known to eat I am NOT surprised at meat cookies.

Yes, I do post just to see my own words on the screen.

You'd need some baking powder, and some sort of agglomerating agent like butter, but that actually sounds pretty tasty.

Also, I'm starting to wonder what will happen when Abel gets home, and the parents ask to see the skull charm.  What happens when a being handles something that hides creature features?  For that matter, what happens when you press it into the hands of one of the `cubi who are already hiding their wings?

mmm, meat cookies.  Sound tasty, especially for people like Kria or Lorena!

Ahh nothing says loving like meat flavoured cookies from the oven  :mowhappy

Sounds like Hennya just likes meat to me.

I have no idea how specific the term "cookie" is in english countries. I especially wonder how close the association cookie-sweet is.

I have eaten a lot of baked products in my life that could be called cookies from outlook and how they are made, but they were not made sweet and indeed contained meat.

As for the taste: Varies, I like the pizza-tasting most!  :mowcookie

To me it looks like Kria's just kinda paying respect to Devin. He did go out of his way to protect Abel at the cost of his own life, after all.

As for meat cookies, I dunno, I'm not gonna knock it 'till I try it, but I'm not gonna try it any time soon either. :bunny

I remember when I was on another forum, some people were talking about the difference between certain British English and American English terms.  Someone said, ``...and biscuits are the things that you put chicken and gravy over!''  Quite a few people subsequently lost their appetites.

I'm still not sure what Britons call savory biscuits.  Johnnycakes?
