(btw, I like the lake that's going to be there after the gate in your comic...)

it's the working title for foxfire's book 2..

and yeah, i like the lake too, world's largest koi pond >.>

Dragons, it's what's for dinner... with gravy and potatoes, YUM!
Sparta? no, you should've taken that right at albuquerque..

Um, at the risk of giving the wrong impression, how is the Foxfire hiatus liable to affect commissions?

Worked fine for me. Perhaps your browser hates you, Tape? :-]

Yes - there would seem to be something funny about Konqueror 3.5.6, since it works fine in Firefox.

The Terrati (singular: Terrata)

The Terrati are among the most diverse and common of the races on Ariannia,. Socially, only groups on the fringes tend to fraternise with other races. Others prefer to stay cloistered with their own kind, a hallmark of the aristocratic nature of the Terrati's "high society".
In a Broad sense, terrati are quite often influenced by both Charisma and gold, there have been exceptions to this, but for the lower  echelons of Terrati society, the Glimmering metal and a few suave words holds great sway over honor.

Their history is quite often littered with conflict and conquest, some are true, others are an exaggeration. The many milennia-old battle with the nigh legendary Thae'lith is true to a point, as many relics of that society, and its passing still exist. The Grand structure referred as "the dawnspire" which is situated in the middle of the imperial complex, is one grand example of this, and is the Seat of modern-day Terrati imperialism.

Notable Figures: Manas Orahn Grandus; Manas is the current emperor of the Terrati imperial court, and has done much to sooth the frayed nerves of other, Subjucated races, raticularly the Scenari. Some would say he is merely ensuring his power-base. "The Wizard-King", the name Manas is often referred to, is a very shrewd man.

Is he trying to polish the blade, or remove his fingers?

See, if you're polishing the blade, you hold the polishing cloth flat, so you don't remove the edge. And if the blade has a back, you work from the back to the front, again, so you don't blunt the edge, and also so you don't slice your hand on the sharp bit.

Generally speaking, putting your fingers around sharp things and clutching is a guaranteed way of leaking. :-]

All in my ever so arrogant opinion, of course...

A medieval-type world?  Could be interesting.  I must admit I'm big a fan of high-tech, but I guess there's no reason you couldn't have both  >:3

Ah. See, I prefer to keep my tools sharp. And a decently sharp blade will slice through leather - and pretty much anything else - reasonably easily.

... perhaps I have an excessive idea of what "decently sharp" is... :-]

I do like the first dragon one.  Somehow reminds me of Brandywine in Legend of Kyrandia.

This happens when you click on the books.  The dragon wakes up and remarks "Don't touch those.  He'll have a fit if he sees you."

Brandywine was probably one of the highlights of that game, IMHO, if not the whole series.  The wizard was just loopy and the dragon tries to keep him in check while making sarcastic comments to the player.
"What brings you here, boy?  Are you taking orders for cheese?"
"This is Brandon, you old dolt.  You know?  The one on the quest to overthrow Malcolm's power?"
"I knew that.   So, prancer.  You're a dancer?"
(Dragon rolls eyes and goes back to sleep)

**EDIT**
I've just gone over the sketches again.  It's making me impatient to see the final versions, particularly 'overlook'.
As for the dragons, are they intelligent?
