04-01 - Hark's worst fears are realised realized

Stealing hearts and eating souls.  :reaper
Conservative Democrat or Liberal Republican: You decide!
The Centrist line has moved a long way to the Right over the years.

I'd argue that's a horribly shallow argument, except it's completely true. ~ooklah

Looks like Aisha has a difficult task ahead of her, now that the truth is known.

04-02 - Processing the implications

Yeah, I'd be somewhat irritated too if I were in Hark's position.

04-05 - Pride, Prejudice and Sensibiltity Sensibility

...in which Aisha reminds herself why she is in this profession.

Quite the argument she has with herself.

04-06 - It's illegal so I guess it counts as an evil plan

I might use the term "chaotic good" plan.  >:3

Also a good description.

Interesting way to look at it.

04-07 - Possible solutions

A corrupt politician with leavers of power above even him.

...I just spent two hours rewriting this post, and I find it impossible to not brush up against US politics.

Let me just place down some flowers for Jimmy Kimmel's career, and now to go off to get hammered.

Unfortunate, that.  The original story was written around 2017-2018, but you'd have to ask Aisha to know how much the politics of the time influenced it.

Which is to say, actually pretty much not. ^^;

When it comes to story ideas, very few of them are inspired by any current events or people; though I've been tempted to vent my own frustrations out in something like a political comic (which might be a dangerous thing to do right now if my works are ever seen by more than a handful outside a community), when it comes to fiction, that to me is an escape from reality.

I guess it comes down to the classic disclaimer: "any resemblance to events past and present and people living and non-living is purely coincidental". x3

I too have been tempted to vent my frustrations in such a manner, and believe me, my accounting book of the administration's sins goes back much further than Jimmy Kimmel being silenced.

04-08 - But first they must catch you

Looks like they're starting to pull the levers.
