In all seriousness, I like how these two pages touch on Danni's insecurities. From what I remember of Danni's mum (may a thousand demons- or whatever passes for those on LaRaGa- incite her bowels to rise in mutiny), she is unlikely to have given her much help in developing strength either in spellcasting or anything else.
