The only exception was with Silverblue, who he had her as the protaganist of an entire arc (and one of the most memorable arcs at that).  I bet half her popularity comes from showing up in the Jack comic in such a role.

And Trixi and Tet; and Sue Deer; and Vinci and Arty; and Gene Catlow and Cotton; and Joanne and Jeremy, nope, doesn't use many other peoples' characters, does he?

Personally I like the humor in this one, all of them actually, and I also like how Amber strikes a balance between comedy and serious stuff. (for example #221)

Okay to answer Amber's questions or advice or something....

#1 a Buffer...only a few comic artist have a buffer for long... Most may have a buffer for a some special event or vacation... but most just go off line.   Just so long that the artist updates soon after like a week or at else posts something..most reader are forgiving.  Amber should not worry too much, but we love her because she does anyway.

#2 No inside-jokes and other peoples characters....Amber does not have too many inside jokes but most people can still smile at them.   

Other people's characters, most people are dying for Amber to use their character in her comic.  But Her main characters have change so much from what the original creator's by now.  That character are really her versions of their characters.  They are only the same in name only.

#4 Amber's Cliche style..... Amber's style has inspired so many that it will soon be it's own Furry art style.  mm mm Maybe it is already...

#5 Most Webcomics die because readers get tried of long break between comics or poor stories or poor/lazy art... mmm Amber has none of those things...

I've just recently started reading the DMFA comics, and I agree with Prof B Hunnydew. The comics are awesome, every singe one They aren't too long and time consuming to read, they are updated frequently, and you're always kept guessing as to what will happen next... at least, most of the time

Personally, I do not really mind the in jokes and such- the comic has been styled in such a way that anyone unfamiliar with Furcadia (i.e. me) would simply assume it's set in your good ol' fantasy world mainstay, with strange characters and funny situations .

And as for the 'anime-styled' characters- honestly? I didn't really notice until Amber pointed it out *

BUt in any case Amber and DMFA is my best experience in my lifetime and I love every one of the characters. At the direction is Amber is going right now I see her one day displaying her art at the Guggenhiem here in New York some time in the future. And then the communuity of the art world will see her as she is a very True artist in every sense. I love her work and her style she should never stop what she is doing right now you have given us laughs and insight to your world at Lost Lake..................

i prefer wing zero as it uses they same system as my younger brother for combat purpose and it shares his name. of if i'm going to pilot or upload into on the Ebion. it's somewhat weaker then zero but it has a kind charm and never beat me in cards.

war the strategy variant. it's a fun game that's more about bluffing and out guessing your opponent then about luck and chance
