In the previous page Ori said they were told that they could stay.  I do have to question the wisdom of leaving them alone in the manor since it does lend a lot of credence to their being Loki Kiborn, after all, they're living in Loki Kiborn's house.
While any caretaker is better than letting the place fall into ruin, it is not unknown for the true owner to come back and find that the place has been sold to someone else in their absence.  Ori doesn't have much to lose so they might very well be tempted to take the money and run.
