Well, if they can change their wings into clothing, which includes skin/scales/feathers..why not be able to keep their hair in place on a whim?

Then again Dimanika does not play by the pesky rules of 'reality' or what-have-you. Maybe her hair stays in place because Dimanika.

Dimanika is probably friends with Nemen Yi, and might have taught that other character character the true arts of using panel borders and the webcomic format to her advantage.

(Nemen Yi is from the comic Keychain of Creation, which features her as a character who can use knowledge of the medium/etc as an advantage. Grabbing the panel borders is the start of what she did, but I think Dimanika could manage more, if she tried. ;D )

Actually, that makes me wonder just how much in the way of shenanigans that Dimanika gets up to when we don't see her.
