I was having a similar day to Loki at work and seeing this comic didn't help.
Anyway, I hope she makes the right decision.

I'm kind of curious about that strange wooden arch, though.  I'd have said it was some kind of portal, but there's no discontinuity with the backdrop.

Oh yeah, side bonus of extra updates is getting past all the bummer updates quicker. As for the arch, it's just a decorative entranceway. Some Kiborn or another was planning to put up a full trellis and grow roses over it, but never got around to it. There are runes on the bottom of it, but that's just old defensive magic that's around the whole property (and doesn't work very well)

Ah, right.  And yes, it's looking like it.  I made a breakthrough last night so the light is at the end of the tunnel.
Though I still want to hit one of my colleagues who said that doing a 3D transform on an arbirary surface was 'simple'.  It was like the scene from the film 'Morons from Outer Space' where one of he aliens is being tortured by the government.

Government agent: "Tell us what makes your ship move!"
Alien: "Pedals. "
Government agent: "What?"
Alien: "One of them makes it speed up and the other one slows it down- aaaargh!"
