Oh dear, the poor boy.

Heh, it seems that our lovable sarcastic Abel is starting to develop here.

Also, this does confirm that the Librarian just changes her colors at certain intervals. Neat. So, some people change clothes, she changes colors... which makes sense, given her situation.

Well I think she looks lovely in pink, but maybe sky blue would be less intimidating. She is so cute in the middle right panel with her head tilted that way :mowmeep cute in a freaky lovely-girl-coming-out-of-the-wall way.

Abel reads thoughts!

And I notice how no pronouns were used to refer to Mink. Smooth, very smooth. ;)

LoneHowler

she is adorably cute in a slightly creepy way, I can imagine that it would be hard to readt certain books if you knew someone was watching you at all times
Yes I know I'm a horrid speller queen of typos but dang it, I'm trying to get better

Oh, maybe. But then again, considering what Oolong stocks... maybe not. She could always be a pervert, of course, and stocks those so that she can get a kick out of it. Dirty, dirty Oolong.

Considering what school they're at, some of the text books probably qualify as porn of one sort or another.

Even when it's all pink, the library is still one of the most feared places at SAIA. Oolong must have some scary background because even when there are bunnys on the walls and everithing is cute Mink still makes a descret run for the hills.

Dagardo

Seems like its about time Abel said something, and yes I suppose Oolong could qualify as cute, if you like girls who are attached to walls and smile creepily while having their turned in a similarly creepy manner.

I don't even know what a Hibiscus is. Nor do I care to Google it.

I'm having one of those moments where there is a very particular person-slash-voiceactor who comes to mind when I read Oolong's lines in this comic, but I'm damned if I can remember who it is. I can only remember the sound of the voice and how well it matches her in this comic. Graugh!

Also, love the head tilt. I've -always- loved the head-tilt look. It's usually thoughtful, or vaguely confused but all in all a very nice posture.

Also PS: I have the sudden mental concept for a "Got Mink?" image of some sort.

Does Abel even know he's not actually having a complete verbal conversation here? It doesn't look like it. Oolong is cute in the third panel...until I remember she's attached to the wall... :V

Is that because she adorns the wall? Then wouldn't she be ADORNABLE?! :mowhappy

Oolong isn't attached to the wall, she is the wall (and the floor, the shelves, and most other things in the library other than books (and I wouldn't be entirely sure about all of those))

This is the perfect que for my joke about able not being gay because he is inside her.

RJ

Mink in Ink's class, huh? Now I imagine much fun from that. :boogie

...I just realised RJ would probably be in that same class too. Sweet muffins above, run away.

SpottedKitty

It took me a moment to realise those are Oolong's ears at the bottom of the top panel, we're looking just over the top of her head. Neat viewpoint setup. And a snippet of info about her, too, her secondary heads aren't just to creep people out with, she can apparently see and speak through them — I think this is the first time we've seen one with its eyes open.

I like her. I've always found comfort in libraries. So quiet and peaceful. And full of books.

Yeah, but then you just pull out the stasis beam to slow it down and start firing boson darts at it while remembering to vent your pack often, and then wrangling the focus element free once you've worn it down enough. No biggie. Book Golems are a nuisance. Now, those paper demons are a pain.

Although I have to wonder how she came to be in the first place. Now that would be another sweet side story!

Don't say that. Abel is enough of a pain for to do a Origin Side Story for. Don't want to make her do Oolong too.

Oolong was born the way she is. She's a particular type of mythos.

As for the reason of her creepy...it is an unfortunate side effect in the comic that it is really hard to demonstrate the effects since all the panels are frozen of sorts. But the thing to keep in mind is that the rabbit thing one sees is more closer to the light on an angler fish than anything. And that Oolong herself is quite massive.

The other main issue is that she actually doesn't have detailed control of that rabbitlike appendage. She cannot change its expression, she cannot even make its mouth move. The arms and wings can barely flop about but she cannot write with them or do anything more than motor control. To see it in action is like seeing a very surreal puppet in action. The movements are completely off and taps the uncanny valley in terms of it just not looking right.

As for the voice, Oolong doesn't speak via her mind. She speaks using the hundred+ heads located on pillars. But since the sound is coming from several directions, there is no pont to speech bubbles citing a direct source.

The final issue is mainly one that creeps out Cubi, in that Oolong is emotionally devoid. And because of that, it feels often like they are talking to a dead thing. Which, combined with the rabbit-looking appendage that moves much like an undead thing...makes Oolong incredibly creepy to them.

Other than that she's a jolly nice Mythos. Though her sense of humour is a bit warped.

Does that mean that this: http://missmab.com/Comics/Vol_579.php was caused by Dan's cubiness or was that for some other reson.
