Depends. I don't think she's specified that the King be beheaded, so they could quite happily poison him and head back.

And poisoning's a much easier thing to get away with - after all, if you have someone truly paranoid about poison in the food, anoint their soup spoon with poison instead. Just as an example.

I don't want to spoil things, so I'll leave the manner of King Ordros' fate to your imaginations.
But on another topic, we have a buffer up to page 52 at the moment, and Merlin has just drafted the last two pages of the story today/yesterday.
Since the reason for the fortnightly update schedule was to ensure she had enough time to keep things ticking over, I am thinking of switching to weekly updates when the last two pages are completed unless anyone has a good reason why not to
