yeah, i know i'm running behind, i figured i'd throw this bit of information together to tide you over until i get things done.. which will be by friday, i hope.
now, onto the Dating convention i used.
OA = "Old Age"
IE = "Imperial Epoch"

1 Epoch = 6000 years Ariannian standard.

Current Date of Foxfire Ariannia wise; 5,457(IE/2) it'd be (OA/30 by the old Calendar, which is oft used by other races that still refuse to identify with the terratti imperium)

just some side-math:

  • 1 Ariannian Day = 26.5 hours
  • 1 Ariannian year = 380 Days
  • Ariannia takes 4 years to orbit its local star
  • this is why i have used a lunar solstice type calendar system, which i'll explain in depth further

i'll post more stuff like this as things go along, in addition to the 'arc war' results and main comic

Dragons, it's what's for dinner... with gravy and potatoes, YUM!
Sparta? no, you should've taken that right at albuquerque..

Does this mean that the Ariannian year is actually 1520 days long?

... and is that 40,280 hours, or 1678 1/3rd Earth-standard days (give or take a few seconds) ?

Or nearly 4.6 earth years?

Dang. That's a long time between birthdays...

the ariannian year (calendar wise) is calculated by Lunar Cycles

Like that of the Mayan Calender I would assume.

Apparently, Dec 21, 2012 is 12.19.19.18.19, and Dec 22 is 13.00.00.00.00 on the Mayan Calender.
