Another guy from the same community invited me to a TF2 match once. I had my previous purple fox avatar as part of my Steam profile when on the game chat (paraphrased- wish I'd copied it):

Some guy: Whoa, look out.
Some guy: Seems we've got a furfag playing with us.
Guy who invited me: Hey don't do that, Sofox is cool. I know him.
