Jairus is banned, because to a true warrior, the sword is in the spirit and mind. It does no good to grasp a blade without a warrior's spirit. Just so, as long as you possess a warrior's spirit, an empty hand is sharper than any steel.

Oh right, I forgot that you were starting this year! Yeah, my sister's getting started next week... I think. I don't know, I don't live there anymore so I don't get kept abreast of the news. So, how's university treating you so far? Aside from the orientation, I mean.

Jairus is banned because while orientation is boring, I'm getting a lot of information for what I'll need for school.  And I might have gotten more if I had decided to stay the whole time...

VSMIT is banned because I can't say that I have, but I can get what you're saying. It's sort of like a Beach Boardwalk, except inland?

Jairus is banned because Boomers is sort of like that.  I've never been to Davis, so I don't know what's around there that's like it.

It's got batting cages, go-karts, minigolf, laser-tag, an arcade, and some other stuff, too.

VSMIT is banned because as far as I know, there's nothing in or near Davis like it. Maybe in Sacramento, but the closest amusement park I can think of is Six Flags Marine World Discovery Kingdom (does anyone even call it that?), and it's about forty/fifty miles away.

Jairus is banned because it seems like the only way to have fun in Davis is to be invited to one of the campus parties.

VSMIT is banned because Davis is a pretty quiet town, and I kind of actually like it that way.

Jairus is banned because my hometown isn't quiet.  You can hear the fireworks from Disneyland from my house, and I live a ways away from it.

Yeah, but you're right next to Disneyland. You're banned because if I'd gotten into UC San Diego, I'd been planning to sometimes do a little weekend trip up to Anaheim. Man, now all my memories of family trips to Disneyland are coming back... wow, I don't think I have any bad ones. Um, anyway...

Jay is banned because I'm not right next to Disneyland.  I'm down the street from it, but it's a good 5-10 miles down the street.

VSMIT is banned because that's practically right next door. When I'm visiting my parents, a round trip to the library is about that distance, so it's not all that much.

Jairus is banned because it's quite a lot when you actually have to drive it.

VSMIT is banned because that area is a bit of a nightmare to drive in. We've gotten lost on three of our trips and had to turn around to try and find the right exit towards the resort area. We're usually too excited to care, though. Of course, if you'd been driving in a car for 8+ hours, you'd be excited to be getting close to your destination too.
