Word broke this morning that the British GP was going to move to Donnington Park from 2010 onwards, amid further rumors that Herman Tilke was going to do the redesign.

That little chestnut was met with derision from the SPEED commentators. It was even suggested that FOM was leaving Silverstone because it *isn't* a Tilke design.

The whole announcement seemed timed solely to slap the BRDC in the face. Has Bernie ever not been an asshole?

For some reason, I am reminded of a Chuck Norris line which I am not going to repeat.

Now, I know that I'm going to sound like an idiot, but I honestly don't follow sports. Could someone provide me some illumination of the politics that might have been at work behind this decision? It's probably just because I'm basically walking into an ongoing problem/debate where you need to have heard the whole story from the beginning in order to get.
