You might want to elaborate on this as well.  Be descriptive.  The more detail you give your character, the better.

Are they even human, for instance?

Magic User? - Not really, but is open to new things at this young age

Magic is really an inherited thing at this point.  If you got it, you got it, if you don't, you don't.  It's not really a learned skill.

Magic User? - No.

Tech usage (if any - implants, nanomachines, cybernetic limbs, etc) - He has a laser saber in his left arm, and his right finger is a nano-lockpick, or something... also, his left eye has been replaced by a thermal camera

Please elaborate on this laser saber of yours.  Give me a better idea of how it works.

Well, its built into his arm, just below the elbow, and can be turned on and off at will.

Physical Description - A medium height, light build man, wearing dark clothes and a hood that obscures his face, bar his Eye.

You might want to elaborate on this as well.  Be descriptive.  The more detail you give your character, the better.

Human indeed, he's also quite fast and is strange in that he physically cannot talk loud.

Sorry, i suck at this sorta thing.

EDIT - Also, his eye can swap between thermal and x-ray.

Ryudo Lee

Okay then.  Are you going to already be in the rebellion or do I need to send someone to get you like I did the others?

Thanks to Taski & Silverfoxr for the artwork!

Ryudo Lee

Well then, now's the best time to make your entrance.

Thanks to Taski & Silverfoxr for the artwork!

Dannysaysnoo

Well, okay, but its gonna be absolutely crap and vague. Maybe that's what he wants...

Tapewolf

Quote"I'm Lewis. Lewis Nicolas. And you are?"

Is that a fluff?  Because Dorcan's just told him >:3

If you really meant that Lewis is a bit freaked at seeing a demon, or that he doesn't recognise what Dorcan's just said as being a name, you might want to go back and clarify that.

J.P. Morris, Chief Engineer DMFA Radio Project * IT-HE * D-T-E

Dannysaysnoo

Oh shi- that was a fluff.

That is gonna get rectified.

Ryudo Lee

Ohhh I get it now, what should be from elbow to hand is a sword.  Is that right?

Thanks to Taski & Silverfoxr for the artwork!

llearch n'n'daCorna

I -think- he's thinking mounted in such as way as to be outside his elbow, so when it flicks on, he has, well, sort of like a wolverine type claw covering the back of his hand.

That's a guess. The same sort of concept is covered in the Mobile Infantry suits in John Ringo's Legacy of the All'denata series. I can probably fish out the relevant passages if you're interested.

I did a little doodle to elaborate. Let me pull it up...

Basically, since it comes at where it does, it's still pretty free to move.

Wow... that's a face only a mother could love... if she's blind that is.  No offense.

Anyway, that's how I figured it looked.  That works for me, unless anyone else has a problem with it.

Thanks to Taski & Silverfoxr for the artwork!

Arcalane

I have a problem with it, and demand that it be a masterpiece that surpasses even the Mona Lisa!...

Or not. :U

I thought it'd be a more subtle lightsaber-ish size beam with the whole arm intact. :B

Dannysaysnoo

Nah, when he stole from a gang leader a long time ago, they cut off his arm with that saber. A freak accident killed the gangsters and he got away, and had the saber installed.

That works for me.

Edit:
Bwaha!  Dr. Doom, I like that.

I'm sure they have all those things, but they will be entirely different.  There is no Geddy Lee, Alex Lifeson or Neil Peart in this universe, so there is no Rush.  But there is likely to be a local equivalent, whatever their name is.  Comics are no different - would you have Batman, for instance, in a world which actually has anthropomorphic bats?

J.P. Morris, Chief Engineer DMFA Radio Project * IT-HE * D-T-E

Dannysaysnoo

ManBat. A bat that has been transformed into a human, and fights crime accordingly.

lucas marcone

ok let's try something....when we talk of something in our world they mean the equivilant in their world... just so our characters have some grasp of pop culture.

Prof B Hunnydew

What  I can't tease your guys.... Murf That is so unfair.   PBH

The Batman would be more like a "Darkwing Duck" show with or without or comic relief..  PBH

I was about to start on about the batman and wolverine references, but that actually makes some sense.  We can go with that.

And don't forget that the facility you're in has an attached barracks for you guys to use.

Yes.  Dorcan doesn't know where they are, though.  Unless they're signposted?

Ask one of the soldiers?  You guys aren't alone in the facility.

He did, pretty much.  I can edit it to make that clearer if you wish.

J.P. Morris, Chief Engineer DMFA Radio Project * IT-HE * D-T-E

Ryudo Lee

Okay so either Danny or PBH or Arc should answer that question, as they've already been in the facility and should know where the barracks are.

Sounds good to me, although I was hoping they'd pick up on it without prompting  :P

Great improv.  okay I will think of something,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,PBH

Ryudo Lee

Okay, once everyone has winded down enough then we can switch over to the next portion which will be gearing up and heading out to the site.  If any of the characters have questions about the site, the spies that scouted the area and produced the intelligence are in the facility.  EXO will probably be able to find them.

At this point the group can choose NPC soldiers to help them in the mission, if they want.  Your choices for recruiting an NPC team are as follows:
Grunt - Armed with plasma rifles, the basic soldiers.
Tech Specialist - Also armed with plasma rifles, but also carry equipment to analyze equipment, and also act as a field communications personell.
Torch - Armed with basic pistols, these guys carry cutting torches for breaching locked doors.
Demolitionist - Armed with a lighter version of the plasma rifle, they also carry various forms of explosives, from shaped C4 to the larger discs that were used to destroy that transmitter.
Sniper - Uses a high powered conventional rifle, as they're more accurate than plasma rifles.
Scout - Carries a conventional pistol and surveillance equipment (camera, binoculars, etc) to gather field intelligence.
Ground Vehicle Expert - Expert drivers, for when you gotta get somewhere and then get the hell out.

You'll gain access to more NPC's later on in the game.
