I was thinking more along the lines of Coco the Clown (Out of the Inkwell), Betty Boop, and the Fleischer cartoons.  Especially the one where the character is in a room with a big switch that has a sign saying that pulling the switch will destroy the world.  The character pulls the switch and the Earth is destoyed.

Now I can't get the image of them walking in the old rubber-appendage style and dancing and doing that "always bopping to the music by bending the knees" thing that they always did in old cartoons.  Which makes Aniz extra creepy, since he just dissected Hennya a few comics back.

One of the local auto repair shops has adopted that old-cartoon-style for their mascot, and I drive by it every day on my way to work.  Is this making a comeback or something?
