Since there's always one bad apple in every group, has anyone wondered what would happen if the one evil/warmongering fae became ruler?

"Thou shalt not make any more laws. Ever" ..... ?

I would like to say that Mab is looking much better imho.  I don't know what it is, but she is just drawn cuter than I seem to remember.  Not as cute as Nutmeg, but still cute. :giggle

Maybe Nutmeg exiled Mab after Mab gave Nutmeg the monarchy?

Netrogo

Exile would be a fitting punishment for something as horrible as giving someone the monarchy. An eye for an eye as it were.

Somehow I don't get the last panel at all.

I just don't know what Amber wants to tell us and/or if there was pun at all.

I think the last panel is equating the Monarchy to fruitcake. It's just a gift that gets passed around way too many times.

Nutmeg probably made a law that (possibly among other things) made Mab have to leave. Possibly in retaliation, yes...

Ah, yes, of course.
Grr, should have figured that out myself.

Thou shalt not beget the color blue before the monarchy.

There is a set number of fae.  They have been and always will be.  Age is meaningless to them unless it plays a part in their current 'role'.

There is ONLY one law there....  Thou Shalt NEVER be Predictable   :raspberry

ShiningShadow

Yeah i saw how the monarchy get pass around be glad it's not a ugly tie or sweater *Hold on* I think those Faes would like that.

Thou has your Hippo be wearing striped pants at all TIMES.

Kenji

Thou shall appear in no less than 3 webcomics, in some form or another.

"No fae is allowed to look masculine"

1st Amendment: EVER.

Thou shalt always be colored brightly and possibly blindingly.

Thou shalt only consume sugar.

Wow.  While this strategy does not come as a big surprise, I must admit that that was not how I expected the fae to deal with their monarchy.  Wouldn't an authoritarian democracy make more sense then?  All of the fae decide who they want to lead them, who leads with absolute power for as long as they want, then they step down and the fae decide who replaces them.

Quote from: AndersW on June 08, 2007, 08:24:01 AMI have to say that Mab in the last couple comics has been drawn really well.  I mean it, the art is just stunning.

I have to agree on that.  Amber's art is usually good, but this is unusually good.

Quote from: Kenji on June 08, 2007, 10:30:15 AMThe Charlines is plural, they're allowed to have one. :3

No dice.  They already have Charline Glumplich.

Consider that there is the whole head gem thing... and that one about no tail fluffier then the Queen's...

The laws seem to apply to the Fae Kingdom itself.  The monarchy is probably just some really silly, entirely bizarre, live action roleplaying experience.

Hmmm, now I want to be king...

Faes are eternally larping?    :U

I never wish to see the plane that the Fae reside in.  It sounds terrifying!

It'd be Second Life Made into a reality.

Yes, LARPing... without impartial narrators and storytellers.

The plane is kind of like Canada...
