Cubi/creatures restaurants

an odd thinking... would there be restaurants specialized on "meals" for specific kinds of creatures, such as anger tea (for cubis),  kerosene pie (for fire-spitting ones like matilda), bloody flesh (for undead and demons)?

it would be pretty interesting to say the least

Consider a combined establishment... Hilda's House of Pain with a side section for the cubi who enjoy...

Still, the dinner entertainment would be less than clean and decent. I personally do not think it would work. Rather, it would be better for a cubi to find a work environment that suits their particular tastes.

Think about it; little does that boxer know that his manager is actually secretly cheering on his opponent, hoping for him to land a few more blows to feed the pain and dizziness. The banking accountant is actually doing her work terribly slowly and inefficiently to annoy you since it's her lunch hour. And that dentist who seems to smile so at your fear and discomfort...

Turnsky

given how cubi can get all they need by feeding off emotions, a resturant would be any place where there's a lot of people gathering, like a food court, a mall, or what have you..

Dragons, it's what's for dinner... with gravy and potatoes, YUM!
Sparta? no, you should've taken that right at albuquerque..

Why wouldn't he bother trying to feed on such from the opponent?

Well, presumably, he's trying to feed on both.

Many do still eat for pleasure, so a normal Being restaurant would work fine...

Certainly, there's nothing stopping Creatures from enjoying a night of fine dining on regular food, but there must be a few establishments catering to Creature-specific tastes--nice, dark ambience and cages full of delicious Beings to provide patrons with fresh pain, terror, and tasty meat. They'd probably generate sufficient revenue to write off any applicable fines/bribes relating to Being deaths.

If I read the Demonologies correctly, the Undead must eat "living" flesh for it to taste good--merely "bloody" just wouldn't be fresh enough. And honestly, ripping your prey limb from limb before consuming them is half the fun, right? On the other hand, I could definitely see some creative entrepreneur coming up with enchanted food for Undead that offers the illusory sensation of real flesh.

The same thing we do every night, Pinky...

If I'm reading the demonologies correctly, they don't have fun eating people or killing them.  Pathetic horror would probably be closest.

I imagine that the ones not horrified by the prospect of eating people alive might actually enjoy that, yeah. I'll admit that I had not only Undead, but Demons and Creatures in general in mind when I made that statement, though. :animesweat

I still think one of the best DMFA pages (and the only time we ever saw Mab's parents) was the big-restaurant-arguement flashback scene, which of course ended with the restaurant being destroyed.

I am sure the demons and some other evil Creature may have a place or two, where they can find a Being meal...But I would think the Hunt is as important as the meal.  The Demons' own attitude is such that If you can't hunt and kill it yourself, than you don't deserve to eat it.

On another note:
Amber's Undead don't need to eat, sleep, or breath so why would they go to a restuarants, even a "cooked being" serving diner...  And they have their memories from their living lives, so would they want to eat their living relatives.?  :erk???

Edit: last line should have been a question.

Pixalated Protons, I'm getting out of here Before I find myself with an apple in my mouth, and stuff in an oven... Gee people, If you really want to be eaten, go jump into a deep-fat frier somewhere else.  And maybe you can kill Charline off with clotted arteries.

I honestly do not understand why anyone would ever wish to remain as an undead, if they all faced so many of the horrible drawbacks and problems that such creatures apparrently do. Me, I'd light myself on fire first thing, would I encounter such a fate. Well, perhaps after brutally maiming a few select people. Or, if I had magical expertise and could still use it, I would get to working on transforming myself into something else immediately.

Also, on another note, I believe that Charline, like me, may be fuelled and preserved by evil to such a degree that no amount of fat foods, alcohol or smoking could affect her condition.

How 'bout Alton Brown instead?

Nah, Mythbusters and Good Eats would be just about sufficient for me, too.  Especially Good Eats.  :D

So we got off the train north of Chicago and were exploring, and just a street away from the stop, I noticed a store that looked almost empty inside.  The name of the shop was, simply, "Internet".   :erk

Vegetables were never meant to be eaten, only to distilled down into alchoholic drink . Also , what are the undead  treated as ....     Also, the statement of Cubi and other creature restaurants even cover the " honourary Creature, ( who may be a being on business ... )
