Male social bonding through violence.
Yep.  It's accurate.  And it's also hilarious.
Am I the only person who thinks that Mr. Roboto rusts out and eventually becomes the Ironman?

No not that Ironman, the other one!

Never been one for the practice myself. Then again, I am more than willing to ask for directions. Clearly I am the odd man out here.  :<
Conservative Democrat or Liberal Republican: You decide!
The Centrist line has moved a long way to the Right over the years.

I'd argue that's a horribly shallow argument, except it's completely true. ~ooklah

Sometimes it easy to forget that Dan is a person with adventurer training who has killed at least one person, even if the one person keeps getting back up. He just seems so spaced out most of the time. I did wonder if being cubi does a number on your attention span, but others don't seem to have that issue. Perhaps it's something they can grow out of?

"I love the city. Its mess. Its noise. Prozzies. Drunks. Stray dogs, little old men."
"Buttered crumpets for tea."
"Yeah, alright, smart aleck. I know I'm not squeaky clean. Nor is this place. The rest of the country couldn't give a thruppenny bit about this town. The orphans take whatever they can get to look after them. That's me."

It probably comes his adventurer background a bit. I imagine that when your lifestyle involves fighting creatures there are going to be a lot of situations where freezing and thinking things over is the absolute worst thing you can do, while at least doing *something* (even if it's something dumb) has a chance of catching the creature off guard.
