The demon is pushing for peace and the beings keep pushing for violence, but if it came to it, Emily might be able to take them all down on her own. So peace is the best option, even if you hold deeply ingrained view on Demons.

It seems to me that attacking Emily can only lead to bad outcomes, if she is a demon who wants peace they may break that belief by attacking her, if she dies they killed a demon that wanted peace and they have murdered a fellow adventurer, if she is violent like the believe then attacking her when she can see you coming would be suicide.
