Surely he'll comply.  And let's doubt the story corroborated by one of your own men's observations... unless you're so paranoid that you think Tor is a creature too and is collaborating with your captured creatures... sheesh. To be fair, the skunk guy removed the bracers off his own bat because he was terrified of the consequences of killing a noble.
Crake, on the other hand is probably where Bren and Gert got their "Creatures will say anything to escape" mantra from, and is convinced the ring is a fake and it's all a bluff.

Wondering how long it will take them to realize that when *that* happens to the equipment, their heads are the next target. And yes, I'm well aware that Yak won't go through with that but, what's wrong with a little insinuation from time to time?
