I can't say I'm entirely surprised that the Hero Guild doesn't want anything to do with it.  Having a member being a known trickster isn't going to go down well, and if the Inquisition is wrong, someone pointing this out is liable to be called a Heretic.  Pretty much what they just did to Peony, actually.

And I suppose you have to feel a bit sorry for Mary, she really wanted to use her axe...
