Given than she apparently did this, it's looking a bit like Elder Scrolls rules, where invisibility is easier to cast but stops working if you do anything useful.  Whereas the more powerful chameleon spell is vastly harder to cast and usually only yields partial invisibility.  (And indeed, breaks the AI in Oblivion if you do get 100% chameleon)

The closest we've seen a trickster be chameleon was Grain in NG+ when he cast himself and Arthur to solid greens to camouflage in the grass. All in all it would have worked the same way as Vanish would assuming he can't cast it.

Real chameleon abilities would be pretty heckin' cool. Like an illusion that changes in real time. Would be helpful to be able to move like that only I guess it's also pretty OP. (Theoretically halfie Chameleons can totally exist can't they. That's actually frightening to imagine...)

Halfie chameleons with those creepy protruding eyeballs? Eeeeeee  :eager

Yeah Grain can't cast vanish (he is generally not great with magic). With vanish after casting it on yourself you can take a step or two, but if you move much more than that it just stops working. And people can still run into you and stuff, so... situationally useful, mostly fun for messing with people.

Jake's perfectly capable of constant invisibility though. Jake confirmed for OP tier.

Being a god usually puts you in the OP rung doesn't it

Unless some magic gods are more OP than others haha

He used to be more OP, before getting the boot. Power variation between the magic gods isn't super high, but some are stronger than others. Used to be Perception Triad were the strongest, but now it's the Elementals. There's a big enough power gap for Marie to be salty about it. Between magic gods and the other gods the differences are greater though. Gaea's hands-down the most powerful, but that's probably a bit obvious.

I like to maintain a mental list of which characters can beat up which other characters. Always. Forever. Don't know why, it never comes up. Probably from watching too much DBZ as a kid.

So, what does the scouter say about his power level? ;-]
