Connecticut elementary school massacre - CBS News

Newtown, CT, was once voted the safest place to live in the United States. Over in Newtown today at around 10 AM, a 24-year-old man walked into Sandy Hook Elementary School, carrying guns. He then shot and killed his mother, the kindergarten class she was teaching, and five other adults, including the principal and the school psychologist.

In total, almost 30 people are dead, more than half of them children. The shooter is dead as well, but the rest of the state is in shock. We have no idea what to do, other than to offer our sympathies to those involved and our prayers to the families of the deceased.

So please, for the sake of Connecticut, give your kids a hug tonight.

Suggestion I've seen is that we don't remember his name, just that of his victims on, grounds of the media is sensationalising the murderers, and that spawns more. Seems legit to me.
