World record for controller with most buttons?

I would have a problem using that, because I have a lazy controller grip.  It's hard to describe exactly, but I like to hold a controller loosely and with my fingers off what would normaly be considered the ergonomically correct positions. (or, to put it another way, I'm uncomfortable holding a PS2 controller properly such that my fingers would be covering all shoulder buttons)

The guy didn't exactly impress me with his gaming ability in that demonstration, not that I would likely do better with a keyboard and mouse.

I think not. A lot of it is switches and stuff rather than buttons. Besides, if we consider extrapolated controller shapes, this would be the real winner:
