Well... it got me a new house, and new furniture, and new kitchen stuff...

Along with a week of me bawling my eyes out just afterwards.
The same thing happened to a friend of mine a few months ago. Only he saved his laptop and took the time to put his shoes on as he was leaving. =/ It sounds like something I'd end up doing.

Imagine my surprise a year and a half later to find the picture of flames shooting out my bedroom windows as the file photo for a series on disaster preparedness.  :erk
