Dead Rising 2: Chainsaw Harder

Capcom just released their new trailer for Dead Rising 2, and I have to say, I'm feeling pretty excited here.

For those who didn't play or somehow hear about the first one, Dead Rising was basically a zombie mall apocalypse game where you ran around a mall saving people, taking photos, killing psychopaths and using damn near anything you could get your hands on to smash zombie heads in. It was fun and with a lot of interesting little gimmicks in it, but had several little problems that kept it from being great (pathfinding issues with survivors, the time limits, difficulty spikes, wonky aiming system for guns, etc.).

Though the new trailer isn't showing off all the new features, it still looks like some headsmashingly good fun The Vegas setting is a pretty logical progression from the Willamette Mall, there's some suggestion of weaponcrafting or at least being able to graft chainsaws on things, a new main character who's just as ugly as the last protagonist was, and it'll be available for PC. Awesome.

Here's to hoping we get a lounge singer boss who kills people with a weaponized microphone.

All through the trailer. all the way through it, i had a gaint smile.

It only got wider when i learned of the double chainsaw.
